Many coaches struggle or do not find as much success from year 1 to year 2. A quick breakdown-
Washington: Year 1- 11-2 Year 2- 9-0
Oregon: Year 1- 10-3 Year 2- 8-1
USC: Year 1- 11-3 Year 2- 7-3
Notre Dame: Year 1- 9-4 Year 2- 7-3
Oklahoma: Year 1- 6-7 Year 2- 7-2
LSU: Year 1- 10-4 Year 2- 6-3
Duke: Year 1- 9-4 Year 2- 6-3
Miami: Year 1- 5-7 Year 2- 6-3
Florida: Year 1- 6-7 Year 2- 5-4
TCU: Year 1- 13-2 Year 2- 4-5
Texas Tech: Year 1- 8-5 Year 2- 4-5
Washington St: Year 1- 7-6 Year 2- 4-5
Virginia Tech: Year 1- 3-8 Year 2- 4-5
Out of 13 teams, 7 will either have the same or worse record than the year before. Before anyone says, you are trying to defend KP; I'm not, though I do not think he has done a terrible job. Throw out the losses to UNT and Missouri and he is 12-6 in 2 years here. The Southern Utah and UCA losses were bad, no doubt. This just tells me that this offseason will be extremely important. Year 3 will tell us really where this team is. Are they moving forward to compete for a conference championship. Or are they a team that will continually find themselves in the middle of the pack. Year 3 is when it really is that coaches program. 3 years of recruiting and adding transfers. 3 years of strength and agility training. This season isn't over and a win against Tarleton would be nice.

No, I think you are pretty on target. No one is ready to throw anything at KP right now. We are just a little baffled at what we see sometimes and we know sometimes it's the players and other times its the coaches; not just KP
