Another intriguing transfer from SMU. Fr. PG Aaliyah Henderson. Played sparingly for SMU but was a top 5 player in Oklahoma from Norman High. We like Oklahoma players.
Note, I have no idea whether our staff or the player are interested. Just taking some shots in the dark.
Also, Caitlyn Jordan 6'2 FR forward from Utah Tech. Played at Dallas Christian.

I'm sure coach Goodenough would like the roster to be somewhat filled by summer workouts, but do we have any idea when we might start seeing some offers go out or visitors come in?

Typically, transfer players do NOT announce offers (though a few will). Teams, as well as players have a lot to sort through right now. Coaches, who to offer, are they a good fit, can they help us, and will they work with what we have remaining/coming in. For players, who is truly interested in me, NIL money, can they help me get to where I want to be.
I would think by mid-April we will start to hear of some players on campus, but that could last well into summer.

I thought we had a pretty solid roster coming back but now we are totally rebuilding. I'm also wondering what's going on.

I am hoping Hull, Earle, and Mayes plus any other holdovers can be joined by newbies and they jell quickly. With our 6'4" post and two other fine recruits, I am not panicking but I hope we can quickly unify and play to our potential.

I hope that someone, other than the coaches, are talking to all of these girls to find out why they are leaving. Martin and Wernli seem to me to be big losses.

Dallas, I don't know about Gracy but Addison's reasons are personal and legit.
As for the others, I think Coach Goodenough said it best. "They should all be able to go to a D2 school where they can play." It's clear to me that the staff realized that the Cats only had 5 or 6 D1 players. Those that are leaving were told that they were unlikely to get significant playing time.
So now there are 7 scholarships open. Got some recruiting to do. If anybody hears anything, there's a portal recruiting thread in the recruiting section. s

Are the commits coming in D1 quality?

Are the commits coming in D1 quality? For sure Aimee and Tyla. Haven't seen much of Paula but she plays professionally in Spain. (Note: these players are given college eligibility by the NCAA because the athletic organization is different in Europe and elsewhere.) But you can't know for sure unless you throw them out there with the big girls.

My only concern is she seemed to digress last year. She didn't play in many games and did not average a point per game
-Abilene Christian University women's basketball head coach Julie Goodenough announced the addition of transfer Breanna Davis from North Texas and Red Oak High School. Davis, a highly recruited prospect out of high school, is a 5-7 point guard who comes to Abilene after starting 12 games as a freshman at UNT and averaging over 15 minutes per game. "We are so excited to add Bre to our Wildcat family," said Goodenough. "We have known Bre since recruiting her in high school and have always thought that with her ability to score and distribute the ball that she would fit our style of play very well. As well as experiencing championships on the court, Bre is also a very strong student. Can't wait to be her coach." As a standout at Red Oak High School, Breanna scored 2,245 total points in her career including averaging over 20 points per game as both a junior and a senior. She also totaled 1,010 assists during her high school career. Her performance there led her to become the 30th-ranked player in the state of Texas for her class along with several awards including: 3-Time District MVP District Newcomer of the Year 3-Time TABC All-State 3-Time TGCA All-State 4-Time All Ellis County 1st Team All Ellis County Player of the Year Dallas Morning News Player of the Week DFW All Area Honors McDonald All American Nominee A proven winner, Davis won three straight district titles and went to the regional semifinals 4 straight times in high school. "I chose ACU because of the tight-knit family atmosphere and I truly feel that this is a place where I can grow on the floor," Davis said.
