Offense —Players from our 2017 two deep listed first.
QB. Luke Anthony. Backed up by juco signee Cole Klayman and RS freshman Sema’j Davis
RB. Tracy James. Transfer Billy McCrary and juco signee Robert McNight greatly strengthen the rb position. Roster vet Aaron Bunting also returns.
FB. Q Washington will probably move to FB after Playing a back up role as RB as a freshman.
TE. Cody Ennis. Two juco signees, plus the addition of Emoree Giddens who switched from Tackle & talented freshman Remington Lutz provide depth..
OL. Dakota Laws, Bill Weber, Kade Parmelly, Brady Melde, Jon Crisp, S. Anderson. A. Anderson. Juco transfers Dakota Napierkowski & Tylor Lovette should provide immediate help. They are joined by 4 rs freshmen.
WR. Chase Cokley, Josh Fink, Kalin Sadler. Speedy DJ Fuller returns after being ineligible last year Bryce Baccarini and Hunter Lees also return along with juco Torin Justice.
Oscar’s quick take is that our greatest needs on offense are OLine and A speedy deep threat Wide Out. If it were me I’d be in the market for 4 O Linemen, 2 Wr’s, and possibly a QB. Another RB would be great as well.
Oscar’ s other bit of wisdom. Never turn down a quality player at any position if they are capable of challenging for a starting role and could potentially upgrade that position.
coming soon....the defense

I really hope Fuller is eligible and ready to play. Justice will step in immediately and Fink, Cokely, and Sadler all have experience. I THOUGHT Lees was done after this year but maybe I'm wrong there. Still kind of unsure on Baccarini. Has anyone seen him in practice or in the spring to know what he can do? We signed him last Spring as a QB transfer, but can he play WR at this level? Am also curious to see how much the offensive scheme changes. For example, was year 1 of the offense due to our inherited personnel? With our two jet sweep WR's gone, can we expect to see a different type of WR recruit or is that what we want to keep doing?

We still need a couple of more OL, both transfers and HS. Even with good talent coming in at RB, I would like more depth here as well. I would like to give a 1,2,3 punch plus have back up. It seems like we decent depth and talent in the defensive secondary (seeing that we have picked up some more in these areas), but would like a little more on the DL and LB. I also agree that if a good all-around athletic player becomes available and wants to play, let him!

Thought I might help out Oscar with on the defensive side of the ball:
DE. Corey Smith, Daytrieon Dean, Temisan Kuyatsemi. Reynel Previlon, Kameron Hill, Tony Davis lll, Cordell Ijoma, Keith Washington, Brian Miller (new) **Good group with no seniors. Not a priority. **
DT. Dante Hibbert, Makoni Pole, Jaleel Carter, Cole Burgess. Devondrick Meadows, Antiek Etuk, Douglas Nyandika (new) **Hibbert and Meadows are seniors. Definitely need 1 or 2 quality high school guys**
LB. Quincy Dunn, Jeremiah Chambers, Jack Gibbens. Landry Hutchins, Caleb Cobb, David Chandler, Tryce Prince, Melvin Brown, Jack Lechman (new) **Dunn is the only senior. 1 or 2 quality high school guys would be good. 53 wants another transfer**
CB. Adonis Davis, jamar Mack. Obina Udoye, Dante Williams, Byron Robinson, Jeremiah Baltrip, Alexander Lofton (new) **Mack is the only senior. 2-3 quality high school guys IMO**
S. Erik Huhn, Bolu Onifade, A.J. Greathouse, Brandon Richmond, Koy Richardson. **Huhn, Greathouse, Richmond all seniors. Need 4 more for next year. IMO**

Some additional offensive names to ponder besides the ones that Oscar laid out there:
QB - Jase Hammack - scout team QB for 2 years
RB - Bunting redshirted his freshman year and saw some playing time last year. Jacob Urbanczyk was a redshirt this past year and played a lot of scout team LB after Jack Roberson hung it up mid-season
FB - I agree that Q Washington might be a fullback long term. Walkons Mason Hite (5 games, 1 start) and Chance Pierce (6 games) also played at FB this year.
TE - isn't Liam Flowers still on the roster? Not sure why he did not play this past year, but he did stay active with the program all year.
WR - cupboard is a bit bare - we desperately need DJ Fuller eligible and everything I have heard is that he raised his grades substantially this year. Josh Fink, Chase Cokley, and Kalin Sadler all have shown flashes. I think that with a year under his belt, Baccarini could be a good receiver - he is a very athletic kid. The other kid that intrigues me is Jordan White-Sanders from Olton, a walkon who stayed on the numbered roster all year. Decent size (6-0, 190) and I have heard he has pretty decent speed.
OL - we have the returning kids who played this year (A. Anderson, Parmelly, Weber, S. Anderson, Melde, Laws and Crisp), the 2 JC kids (Napierkowski and Lovette), plus, there are only 3 returning redshirt scholarship kids (Bird, Gunnoe, Hendrix) and I think there is only one walkon freshman lineman left -- Beebe. I have wanted to see ACU field 8-10 solid linemen. It would appear from some of the other posts that number my need to be 10-12 linemen who can provide quality minutes. Could we come up with 10-12 out of this group? Just don't know. Maybe 2 more transfer types would give us more breathing room. Don't forget that we picked up Bill Weber late in the process last year.
