I love this class! I also love the terrific job that Coach Goodenough does in telling about her class on Twitter. Really good stuff.

I love this class! I also love the terrific job that Coach Goodenough does in telling about her class on Twitter. Really good stuff. Things that struck me in addition to her comments about skill sets .... 1. Her staff does a lot of the initial screening but she gets personally involved in the process with every player 2. She knows and talks about the family of each recruit. 3. She talks about most of the high school and summer coaches/programs 4. In many instances they have been following these players for years.

Still no idea who the recent 2022 commitment is?

Not a whisper. The coaches don’t announce commits until applications, transcripts, etc are received and they don’t want recruits committing on Twitter or whatever before this is done. This could explain why there’s nothing yet. Of course, they love to tease us, don’t they?

I love how each recruit seems to buy into what ACU as a whole offers and not just the basketball program. So glad Coach Goodenough is at ACU.

The 2022 commit is Hampton Williams from Salina Central, Kansas. She is listed at 5'10 and can play the 3/4.
Actually, in reading Coach DeRoo's tweet, she might be a brand new commit. Honestly, not sure, other than Williams has committed to ACU

Watched some video of Hampton Williams today. Plays a lot like Maddie Miller. Can basically do it all, inside or out. Strong frame, great footwork.
She was offered 9/24.

4 star Rhyle McKinney (5’9” combo guard) from Argyle and SMU has entered the transfer portal and our whole coaching staff is following her, it seems. She was POY for classes 1-4 in 2020. She has 4 years of eligibility.
I’m thinking UNT would have her on their radar but we would certainly be a sweet destination. She will have a chance to start right away and join a big time recruiting class. Watch this space.
In case you haven’t noticed, our guard play has not been good this year. We don’t have a single guard that you can run the offense through and who wants the ball in clutch situations. Maddie, of course but she’s not a point. Taylor comes closest. Bella and Rhyle just might be a nice pair. Ah speculation.

One can hope!!! I agree with what you have said. All season long I have wondered why we dribble so much, stop, then stand around. Passing is faster and creates more opportunities.

Do we have potential in the freshman class or are we in a bad spot for a few years from recruiting misses?

Do we have potential in the freshman class or are we in a bad spot for a few years from recruiting misses? I believe I’ve read that the incoming class next year is supposed to be the best in ACU history.
