4 star Rhyle McKinney (5’9” combo guard) from Argyle and SMU has entered the transfer portal and our whole coaching staff is following her, it seems. She was POY for classes 1-4 in 2020. She has 4 years of eligibility. I’m thinking UNT would have her on their radar but we would certainly be a sweet destination. She will have a chance to start right away and join a big time recruiting class. Watch this space. In case you haven’t noticed, our guard play has not been good this year. We don’t have a single guard that you can run the offense through and who wants the ball in clutch situations. Maddie, of course but she’s not a point. Taylor comes closest. Bella and Rhyle just might be a nice pair. Ah speculation. For what it’s worth, she is also following our entire staff. That’s always a good sign. It doesn’t mean she will sign with us but if she had no interest she wouldn’t bother following back.

And Bella's dad replied to her tweet and said she should join Bella at ACU. Always good to have parents helping with recruiting.

In watching "First Dance" I noticed a very "slim" version of Maddi Miller and Makayla Mabry playing basketball for the Cats. I wonder if the extra weight these two ladies have put on (for basketball reasons) has hindered their mobility this year. Just wondering!

What's wrong with my post? Some players do not play better with extra weight. This team needs mobility and speed not the opposite.

Not a fan of your post Bogey. Not sure I see a problem with it. Why is it ok to question the weight of Luka Doncic (Mavs), or Ben roethlisberger (Steelers), but he can’t question a female athlete for the exact same reason?

How often do you guys call your wives fat? How often do you call your brothers fat?

Who called anyone fat? Read the post. I'm sure both players were asked to gain weight for posting up and screening purposes. I didn't come within 5 miles of calling either fat.

I didn't see anyone called fat. Our girls have been slow, and not as agile, this year. I have had similar questions as part of this, and other things, as to why.

I'm putting on my moderator hat and making a judgement that references to a female athlete's weight are not appropriate based on our policy of not being publicly critical of individual student athletes.
I think your observation is legit, Bogey, just keep these conversations to the DM, please.

How often do you guys call your wives fat? How often do you call your brothers fat? I call my brothers fat every time I see them. The fat ones anyway.

How often do you guys call your wives fat? How often do you call your brothers fat? LOL. Game. Set. Match. Gender equality is a goal, except when it isn’t. Our enlightened culture may approveof biological males who identify as females playing on women’s teams but our society is no where near ready to start posting women’s weights on school team rosters. Some things remain beyond the pale.

How often do you guys call your wives fat? How often do you call your brothers fat? Totally get the sentiment, but there is a difference between saying someone gained weight and they are fat. Could be additional muscle the coaches wanted to add to a players frame that slowed the player down. We talk about Kolton and his weight gain often, the only difference is he isn't asked to run and cut. I will say I'd rather be hyper aware rather than numb to sexist comments, so I appreciate you making your opinion known and speaking up when you felt something was out of line.
