Had known about this one for a few weeks, but former Texas Tech RB Kendell Jimerson has transferred to ACU. Jimerson was a former walk-on at Tech and played his high school football at Rockwall Heath. He is listed at 5'10, 185. He should have 3 years to play.
We now have solid depth at RB: Dobbins Tyr. White Anthony Smith Jar'Quae Walton Jimerson

We have more numbers but I’m cautious to say we have solid depth yet.

Wildcatter, that is a good point. Smith has not played RB in 2 years and Jimerson was a walk-on at Tech. That being said, we have 5 scholarship RB's. At no point last year did we have more than 3.
If Dobbins can take the next step, White come back from whatever ailed him and Smith and Jimerson provide a lift from time to time, that could be huge.

Do you think jimerson is a scholarship transfer? Seems unproven to warrant that.

Jimerson's HUDL film says he is a CB first and WR second. Are you sure he was a RB at Tech? Didn't see any RB film.

Yes, and please don't let this sound snarky because it is not meant to, but I always check players twitter handles. It says ACU RB.
Almost any time a player transfers, even if they are a walk-on from an FBS to an FCS school, they will be on scholarship

On a different note, Taite is listed as a LB

LB/LS Brett Hargrove from Cedar Ridge HS picked up a PWO today. He is listed at 6'2, 225. He is currently a Midwestern St commit

Taite would seem to be a pwo if that’s the case.

Wildcatter, Taite is not a PWO. This was his tweet just a few days ago- Blessed to receive an offer to further my academic and athletic career to Abilene Christian University!!! Go Wildcats!
Typically, if it is a PWO, a player will use the word opportunity, not offer.

OL Aidan Logan commits to Butler JUCO Grades?

Is this shaping up to be a recruiting class that can help us get to the next level? That is, a winning season and a playoff berth?

Oscar, it has to be grades. Logan is a 3-star recruit according to 247. Rarely will a player go the JUCO route when they are rated that high
As far as this class, at the moment I would say no. Now, I am not trying to say the staff hasn't added some solid players; I think they have. DE Bradley could be really, really good. So too could OL J. Andrews. I really like what I saw on tape of S Dillingham and LB Coheley.
The truth is, we clearly did not have enough talent on either side of the ball last year. OL has lost 3-4 starters. Losing Gibbens is significant.
I actually think last year's class showed some promise. QB Earle RB Dobbins WR D. Lewis OL Howerton OL Burke OL Smith DE D. Hart DT Lozano CB Satterfield S Stokes
The staff is casting a wide net for players. There are some high school players that they have been after for months that they are hoping to close the deal on. There are also several impact transfers that we are in deep contact with. We need impact players at WR, OL, DE and LB. I would also say we need to add depth at TE, CB and S.
