New Asst. WR Coach added- Dimitri Donald:
Dimitri Donald is in his first season on the Georgia Southern coaching staff, although he spent the previous two seasons within the Eagle program. In 2020, Donald moves to a full-time coaching position with the wide receivers after serving as a graduate assistant in 2018 and 2019.
Under Donald, the Eagle wide receivers provided tough perimeter blocking for the run-heavy offense, but also came up with big catches in key moments. Mark Michaud led the team with four touchdown receptions in 2019, including two in overtime to help the Eagles down Coastal Carolina. In all, the wide receivers accounted for six of the nine touchdown reception in 2019. Donald was made one of the 10 on-field coaches for Georgia Southern’s Cure Bowl game against Liberty after the departure of Lamar Owens.
As a graduate assistant in 2017 and 2018, the Eagle receivers caught a combined nine touchdowns under his guidance and helped pave the way for a top-10 rushing offense with strong blocking.
After finishing his playing career at West Texas A&M, Donald spent the 2017 season as a graduate assistant at Harding where the Bison advanced to the NCAA Division II national semifinals.
Donald played in 30 games with nine starts as a wide receiver at West Texas A&M. He caught 20 balls for 196 yards, and returned nine kickoffs for 192 yards and one punt for 27 yards.
As a senior at Clear Springs High School, Donald racked up 1,000 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns, earning all-state accolades.
Originally from League City, Texas, Donald graduated from West Texas A&M with a degree in accounting in 2016.

Maybe we should be renamed the Southern Kansas St Wildcats. Drew Liddle has been named the TE/FB Coach at ACU.
Drew Liddle, who spent five years as an offensive lineman at K-State, is in his sixth year on the staff in 2020 and fourth as assistant director of recruiting and offensive quality control.
Liddle played in 26 games throughout his four-year career, including his senior season in 2014 when he saw action in all 13 games with a start in the season opener against Stephen F. Austin. A 2014 Second Team Academic All-Big 12 performer, he also played in five games during K-State’s Big 12 Championship season of 2012, recovering a fumbled punt in the championship-clinching game against Texas.
A native of Oak Grove, Missouri, Liddle earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas State in 2014, while he obtained his MBA in 2017.

Another new GA-
Darius Carey enters his second season with the Beaver Football coaching staff in 2020 as the defensive line coach. Carey joined BSU after serving as a graduate assistant coach at Quincy University with responsibility on the defensive line.
Carey, in his first season at BSU, led the defensive line in 2019 and was on staff for a team that went 8-3 in 2019. The Gang Green defense recorded 30 sacks, averaged 20.8 points allowed per game, and boasted a 28.7 percent third-down conversion rates, which ranked 13th best in the nation. The red zone defense for the Beavers ranked fourth-best in the country at 60.7 percent. Defensive lineman Alex Hoffman was named to the All-NSIC First Team while defensive tackle Josh Wleh was named to the All-NSIC Honorable Mention Team.
Carey spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant coach with Quincy while helping the defensive line earn three All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selections in 2018. In addition to his duties on the defensive line, Carey also served as assistant recruiting coordinator, strength and conditioning assistant, and assistant equipment manager.
Prior to coaching as a graduate assistant, Carey was a four-year starter for Quincy as a defensive tackle. He earned 2014 All-GLVC Honorable Mention and 2015 USA College Football Division II Preseason All-America Honorable Mention after finishing his sophomore season with 44 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. Carey finished his career at Quincy with 130 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble.
