Got an email saying that Sing Song has been reimagined for 2021 - it's going back to more of its original state and "back to the basics." It should be interesting. And for the first time ever, it will be at the Paramount.

Yes. Clubs, excuse me, fraternities, are not excited. If fact some are not participating. Acts are limited to 16 individuals, social distanced, no costumes, no change of lyrics - original lyrics only, I’ve heard the saying, think of the movie “Pitch Perfect”.

Is Sewell still available? Song song used to be there right? With all the restrictions and limited clubs (fraternities) sounds like we won't need much room.

Sewell is about to undergo renovations to become a second student-center like building. They are building the new dorm next to it where they tore down McDonald. That is supposed to be a "central hub" for that corner of campus is how I have heard it explained. The theater department has been in Sewell as a storage facility and stage building facility...they have moved that to the old Taylor Cafetorium.

This Sing-Song Re-Imagined looks like a fiasco. It is down to 2 men’s clubs — I am not sure how many women’s clubs. The class competition turned into a joke several years ago, with the 2, yes I said 2, freshman groups being the only ones who take it seriously. I truly wonder if Sing-Song has lived out its usefulness.

Yes I feel this is the dagger in Sing Song's back. Too bad. Is Sub T one of the men's clubs participating? The chances of winning the men's division would increase dramatically! That ole, beer, bottle...... 🎶

Nope, dear Subbers are not one of the 2 (Frats and Pi Kappa). They are not allowing choreography this year and the Subbers did not think they could not do an act without their intricate dance moves.

With all due respect to Bob Hunter, can they now call it dancing instead of choreography since dancing is now allowed on campus??

A little late responding but hopefully Sing Song will be all the way back when Moody is ready. Perhaps they could bring back Big Tex and Pat Boone.

It will be back and it will now be held after Spring Break. No more extended road trips for the basketball teams!

Let's just award Sing Song to Galaxy and get the football season started after we win the Southland Baseball tourney and the women win the Track meet and the men get at least second.... Oh, I must have dozed off there for a moment. Still a good thought.
