When the guys went to Central America or the Caribbean 4-5 years ago (intro of Mason, Morris, Allen, etc.) there was a report on every game and film on a couple as I remember.

Rarely will you hear much about these games. That is not just ACU, but almost all teams. In fact, in the past, we have played pre-season games against teams like Baylor and not a word. So we won't hear anything here. These games won't be streamed, won't be on ESPN, etc. Rarely, unless it is a major player from a major program will you even hear that a player got hurt. But that did happen to UCONN, who lost Paige Bueckers New Mexico St has had in depth coverage of their trip to the Bahamas. Granted that is mens basketball.

NMSU had their Bahamas games stream via Youtube, but pretty sure it was because it was men's and who was playing.

So the women's BB game is over, but no final score given. We were down at the half and at the end of the 3rd, although we had gained some ground. I take it we couldn't quite finish the game as the final tweet was just talking about having a fun day.

Who were they playing in Portugal? Hard to imagine our ladies losing unless it was to their equivalent to an Olympic team.

All I know they were team Elite, which I think is a team of mixed players from all over. It makes zero sense for them to post the scores throughout the game and not post a final score; specifically when asked for one directly.

Would be nice to see who played with whom and who scored. Exhibitions are generally geared to play everyone but we have so many questions to answer, it would be nice to see our progress.

WBB non-conference schedule released. Two Division III schools, one bad NAIA, and a SWAC school. No power 5s. YAWN!
Wonder who is in the UNT tournament.

And yet there is a push to fill Moody with eager season ticket holders while offering a very unexciting slate. I disagree. We are in the WAC Tier 1 for scheduling which means that we will play pretty much all of the best teams this year. So we play home games against Sam Houston, California Baptist, Stephen F Austin, Tarleton, UTGV, Southern Utah and Utah Tech. GCU is the only top WAC team not coming to Moody for WBB this year. (NMST WBB is not a top team) Scheduling is tough. Ideally, you have 2 home and home FCS series scheduled bringing one good FCS team per year to town. Otherwise the visiting team gets paid. The better the team, the more it costs. So, Athletics must decide if additional attendance will offset $15k-$25k in fees. The D3 and NAIA teams will come for next to nothing. Early in the fall and over Christmas holidays, playing these teams is a good thing, I think. Lots of players get minutes and the team can fine tune before conference. WAC WBB will be very good this year and we should be right in the middle of it. Hopefully we will have some terrific crowds. Especially if all you haters show up.

But when we played Baylor in the tournament we didn’t have any experience in that caliber game. I’d like to see at least one or two P5 teams. I mean, if we want to compete in the NCAA tournament, instead of being complacent with middle of the WAC. Going to be another 20 win season, but not tested until conference

I think we all would like to play better teams in general so we can develop players and get more visibility.
