Glad an ugly win is still a win. This should have been a 3 score game, instead it was 3 points. Glad it's bye week time... We definitely need this bye. Need some guys to heal and work on blocking on special teams. And the OL...

Why not take advantage of our tight ends? Especially when we know our O line is not going to be able to sustain blocks long enough to get off very many deep throws. And the 4 runs straight up the middle at the goal line? Normally I would say you need to expect your offensive line to allow you to score but we already knew the line had been struggling all night long. Try something different after the 2nd or 3rd time it doesn't work.

And the OL. I am hoping when some starters heal and return to play, our OL will be improved.

Considering, we are 5-2 after 7 games and 2-0 in the WAC. I'll take it.

We are really getting nicked up. It looked like Young (LB) went out in the 1st quarter with a shoulder injury. I don't think Darius Moore or Ethan Taite played, so I assume injury. John Brannon has played limited snaps, if any so I assume he's hurt. Will Morgan was helped off the field twice. Didn't see David Oke play. Add in our OL injuries and Ant Smith not playing, this bye week comes at the right time. I too, am very disappointed in our offensive play calling and our poor kicking (punts and FG's). Do we have no one else to try?

Let’s hope we get some people healthy over the bye week. The rest of the season is brutal.

Here’s my take on the game. 1. A dub is a dub is a dub is a dub. 2. Our offense is doing exactly what our QB is capable of doing. We can’t run an offense like SUU right now. 3. We have the best defensive backfield in the league. 4. Boy, do we ever need a bye right now.

I gotta say….a few days ago I read a post on here about our stale crowd and didn’t give it much thought. This afternoon I witnessed . It. Frickin terrible. 3rd and long..who cares…game on the line…who cares. Pretty pathetic crown engagement.

10,229 in attendance. Our attendance has grown with each home game. Obviously homecoming is normally our best crowd.

First game I’ve been to for ACU since 2019 (Can’t believe it’s been that long) but I was so used to yelling at Texas Tech games and leaving with an absolutely sore throat. Early on in the game I yelled a bit on 3rd down for our defense and got some interesting looks. Talked to the couple near us and they said it’s definitely not a football environment at ACU games.

Early on in the game I yelled a bit on 3rd down for our defense and got some interesting looks. Talked to the couple near us and they said it’s definitely not a football environment at ACU games. My experience is if you cheer at football games with any consistency, people around you will not only stare at you, they will leave. They did not sign up for that sort of fan environment. I've said it before, but it is worth repeating: the incessant scoreboard chatter de-incentivizes crowd activity. Though it's trying to charge up a crowd that is seething to win, our masses tire easily of the clip-between-every play noise and the erratic play on the field. A blaring scoreboard only works in tandem with other game day elements to raise the electricity in the room. Add too much voltage and the crowd is dead. (I should add that I'm grateful that someone is listening and they are letting the students on scholarship in band play more. The last two seasons they hardly had any role at all.) For their part, I do see parents of players taking up an active and engaged role in cheering. I hope when basketball season opens that fans can settle into some different rhythms at Moody. Those crowds (especially the ones at Teague) do seem to show up with an expectation that their voice is wanted and matters. Last thought: I hope they will keep working on the field mic student shouting at the crowd. There are still bugs here that are keeping that experience from being effective.

Yes, the student on the field who shouts into the PA system is far too loud. I am an old timer and do not want to lose my hearing so I have to plug my ears or it actually hurts. It is just a matter of decibels, so please turn it down a little. When they ask us to yell, it is not feasible since, in my case, I am trying to avoid more noise volume. I can't clap since my hands are covering my ears. I don't know about everyone, but it really is actually painful, so the relief is when the noise drops. Enthuasism at a bit lower volume might get the crowd to participate more...

The student section was empty the second half. Also the club level seats looked mostly empty at the start of the second half. I blame the banana pudding.
