The Astros are in their 4th World Series of the last 6 years. They are the top seed in the American League. Houston is trying to win their 2nd World Series after losing to the Atlanta Braves last season.
Philadelphia is a Wild Card Team and 6th seed in the National League. They last played in the 2009 World Series losing to the New York Yankees. The Phillies last won a World Series in 2008 beating the Tampa Bay Rays.
I am hoping the Astros can win the Series this year.

Three cheers for the Astros! I got hooked on the 'Tros" when Drayton Mclane owned them and his box behind home plate had the best cooking in that area of Houston. Second goes to the Braves because of their big three pitchers of the past, who would play golf out at Lockinvar when they wern't pitching. But no one could hit a golf ball as far as "little" Jimmy Wynn, a retired Astro centerfielder -- he could out drive about anyone, even Tiger, who (along with about a dozen other pros) practiced at Lochinvar due to Butch Harmon. The Astros should be heavy favorites in this year's WS.

Living in New Orleans, I could basically only listen to their games on the radio. They were not on television often.

Amazing. I remember Richard -- he was TALL. I think the major league team began in the early '60s because I was still a student at "ACC" way back then. I remember the Colt 45s moved to the Astrodome and became the Astros. McClane did not come along until sometime in the 90's. Anyway, I liked Houston through all those years but also have been a Ranger fan from when Nolan Ryan came to them -- from Houston. Today I am not so fond of the Rangers. You probably know more of all that history than I do but I loved baseball, except for the Yankees. My father briefly played for the old FW Cats or Panthers... I have little memory of all that.

This is their 60th year. The Astros began in 1962 while the Rangers moved to Arlington in 1972. The Astros were an expansion team (same year as Mets). The Rangers were the Washington Senators prior to moving.

I am exited about the game tonight in Houston. Justin Verlander will be pitching for the Astros vs Aaron Nola for the Phillies. You would think that Verlander, a future Hall of Famer should have a huge advantage at home.

The Astros are 7-0 so far this postseason. The Phillies are 9-3. During the regular season, Houton won 106 games compared to 87 wins for Philadelphia. With the home field advantage, Houston is the clear favorite to win the Series.

J.T. Realmuto hits 2 run double to tie the game at 5-5. It's anybody's game in the 5th.
