I think Nebraska had more fans at the baseball game we won 5-3 over the Huskers today than any opponent I have seen at Crucher Scott Field. Husker red was everywhere behind the visitors dugout. I visited with several of the visiting fans and it seemed a lot of them came down from Lincoln. They were extremely nice and very complimentary about our campus, telling me how nice or beautiful it was. We agreed both teams were well coached and played strong baseball. They were clearly aware that on some platforms ACU was ranked ahead of them and they knew they were in for a tough game. One said the game with A&MCC was not difficult because that team did not have the stronger D1 pitching. But they were impressed with ACU's pitching and offense. The game was a very nice Saturday afternoon and a great win against a Big Boy.

Wait till Tech comes to Abilene. Those fans will fill the stands.

You are right of course. I wish it was not a mid-week game and just before the major test for the Wildcats in conference play. I want to see out best and their best. I have unique loyalties since I am first and always a Wildcat, but also a Longhorn during Grad school, and, there was a time when the title of adjunct professor at Texas Tech was put on me. I just never got into Red Raider madness but, boy oh boy, do my friends have it big time. Must be something beside the Prairie Dog town affecting Lubbock water. I wonder if that landmark is still there?

I was at the ACU vs TECH game last year at the Crutch. Great game, but son of a gun there were a lot of Tech fans there. At the end of the day I was more than happy it was a packed house.
