Sorry, I was going to add thoughts on attendance but decided I would be beating "a dead horse" so no comment. Carry on.

Before we all jump off a cliff like a bunch of purple and white lemmings, recall that in the 10 years prior to KP we averaged just under 4 wins a year. Rome wasn’t built in a day …. However, those teams were crippled by quite a few things... (Lack of adequate resource allocation and scholarship structure, "the youngest AD in Div.1 history" as he frequently reminded us, jump from Div 2 to Div 1 and the probation penalties that came with it). ACU football has never been set up for success like it is now. Not even by a long shot. This is not to take a shot at KP and his staff. Obviously, there are still a lot of kinks that need to be worked out but I still feel that he is the guy to lead our program.

Question: when you invest in a new scheme (i.e. 3-3-5 defense) in the spring, summer and fall and then see it isn't working in actual games-what are your options? Apply bandaids, change personnel, change coaches, change scheme mid-stream. Question: when you have a staff of young coaches who are in their 1st or 2nd year of being a coordinator or position coach, how long does a HC allow for them to fully grow into that role? Question: when you bring in athletes from the portal who may not have played meaningful minutes in games for a year or 2 or 3(but are better athletes than we've had), how long is reasonable to wait for them to meld into a team and produce positive results? I plead guilty at having thought there would be immediate positive results but I see now I was being unrealistic. Building a team, program and culture is a process. Are we willing to support as we wait. I see progress in many areas. I'm willing to wait. Answering specifically for the stack defense. My experience has been that it takes two off-seasons for the defense to feel comfortable with it. I have seen it get installed twice with mixed results in the first year and the ability to do a lot more with it in the second year. When it is done right, it gives the ability to cause a lot of chaos and turnovers which I think we saw glimpses of. When it is done wrong, the holes in coverage are glaring and gap schemes can absolutely dominate it, which we also saw. The vibe I get is that KP sees Cassity as a mentee. I would be shocked to see a change there anytime soon. I also believe that Ryan Pugh is seen as quite a bargain. There was some weird "Gotcha" type thing that prevented him from becoming the OL coach at Baylor a couple years ago. Also seems unlikely that we would move on from him quickly. Last year, it appeared to work nicely. I wonder what the ramifications of losing a guy like Peyton Mansell were for this year's team just in terms of having somebody on the team that guys could look to as a "team guy" or a "leader". It looked like the guys really rallied around him last year.

Watching replay of the game right now. It was mentioned that there were 15 players recognized for senior day. Could someone list those players?

Might not be 100% accurate, but here you go
WR Taelyn Williams Waydale Jones Dax Neece
TE/FB Rece Stafford
OL Reese Moore Rafiti Ghirmai Alan Hatten (fairly confident he is a Sr that has used up all his eligibility)
LS Dustin Inness
DL Kayode Oladele
LB Kenton Wilhoit
CB Anthony Egbo Jr Patrick Jolly Aaron Reynolds
S Trey Adams
That is 14 of the 15, and there is probably one I am missing due to the weird covid year

Tristan Golightly is also listed as a senior on the roster. Of course, Reese Moore is listed as a junior and I am 99% certain he is finished with his eligibility. Also, we have had a discussion on the board whether Kyle Ramsey, who is listed as a sophomore, might indeed be finished as well. The COVID redshirt is wreaking havoc with eligibility. The NCAA is handing out medical redshirts right and left. Also, the rule where you can play 4 football games and still keep your eligibility -- which only applies to football -- also makes things hard to figure. In VB, for instance, if you play 1 game you lose your redshirt, except for medical reasons. Add in the prevalence of the transfer portal -- whose rules seem to change constantly -- and that makes it that much more challenging to figure out. Keeping track of eligibility practically takes a PhD to keep track of these days
