The Federal Trade Commission announced Wednesday it has sued Grand Canyon University (GCU), becoming the second agency under the Biden administration to take action against the largest Christian school in the nation within the past few months in what the school says is a coordinated attack by multiple agencies against the institution.
The FTC said in a press release it filed suit in federal court against GCU, its marketer Grand Canyon Education, Inc. and its president and CEO Brian Mueller, claiming the defendants used deceptive advertising and engaged in illegal telemarketing.

This has been an ongoing situation for years. The Trump DOE actually had a case against GCU when the institution decided to change from a for profit school to a not for profit school. The university counter sued that time. A few months ago, the current DOE fined GCU for 37MM because the university was allegedly advertising Doctorate degrees for a certain cost and the final tuition cost was 25% more in many cases.
There are multiple layers to this story, so each aspect of it seems unique to GCU.

Thanks for the information. Apparently GCU keeps getting more and more complaints from the Feds. I wonder how valuable their degrees really are?
