Weaver is a good get. Isn't he a 3-star?

I know 247 rates him a 3star. We'll see.

OK. First time I've heard of him. 5'10" 165 lbs. and 4.50 40 time. How does his size and speed rank with the IMG lad and the Lawton WR? I guess I'd like to see a 6'2" 210 guy with 4.35 speed. Where is that guy?

So wildcatter, how are we doing in signings with respect to our perceived needs?

So wildcatter, how are we doing in signings with respect to our perceived needs? I wouldn't say I'm an expert on what the perceived team needs are but it appears as if the secondary and hybrid type players were a priority and it's clear that it was addressed. Also adding some depth on the DL after losing two of our best players and a couple of other rotation players to graduation and one leaving the program. WR was an important position to recruit and we currently have one commit and have offers to others. I'm thinking we are waiting to see what happens with the WRs we have offered before turning to others such as Sadler. I wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4 new WR on the team by fall.

4.86 40. Hmm!

Not sure what the 'hmmm!' means...I did find that he runs track, hurdles. Was 5th in his region last year in the 110s. Not bad for an OLB.

I thought we were looking at him for Strong Safety but if not 4.86 is even slow for an OLB. IMHO What was his time in the 110's and how does that compare to others? Not trying to be a "stick in the mud" but I'm not seeing this. Open my eyes. Don't mean to go Bible on you but I think your pulling out how a person placed in HS regional track maybe fits here. "We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise." 2 Corinthians 10:12 Safety speed is not hurdle speed and neither is OLB speed. Apples and oranges. But I digress. Measureables are sometimes real foolers. Can he play?

He played OLB in highschool.
I don't think he looks particularly fast on film either. I'm just saying he was 2nd in his region in the 110 hurdles last year.

His ESPN profile taken from SPARQ shows him at 176, but his Hudl shows him at 210. That is a 35 lb difference. My guess is he is at 200lbs max but most likely lower. The 4.86 he ran at Sparq is electronically timed and measurables exact. I think he is taken the commitment from Eke
