From the Statesman.com about David: "The Raiders lose a lot the moment Charles Porter and his 91 catches and 1,040 yards receiving graduates. Lucky for them, the Raiders have wide receiver David Racine ready to take over the No.1 target duties.
“With David Racine, we continue to see improvement,” Cedar Ridge coach Todd Ford said. “He’s becoming a much more well-rounded receiver. He’s always had the ability to run a little bit. He’s always been able to catch consistently. We’re really pleased where we’re going with the physicality of blocking. Which if you can do that as a receiver — have those three tools under your belt — you can become fairly dangerous.”
Racine was also a second team all-district return specialist for the Raiders, so he’s certainly one of the top play makers returning. His 43 catches and 803 yards were the second most last season. At 6-foot-3-inches and 185-pounds, Racine has the body to be a physical receiver. He also has great speed, being clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.40 seconds at the 2014 US Army National Combine in San Antonio." www.statesman.com/news/news/local/the-super-8-returning-players-from-2013/nfzrh
From a Rivals.com piece entitled "Texas receiver is a sleeper to watch"-"Mike Riley has found his share of under-the-radar prospects that he's gotten a lot of production out of. David Racine would be just fine if he's the next in that line. Racine, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver from Round Rock (Tex.) Cedar Ridge, has been hearing from Oregon State, Minnesota, Boise State, North Texas and Texas State. He's still waiting for his first offer but is optimistic. "Oregon State stopped by my school in May," Racine said. "It was coach Brasfield. He told me to follow him on Twitter and to keep in touch, to keep them updated. "I think they're a great school. One of my friends just left for Oregon State recently, actually - Datrin Guyton from Manor. He's a wide receiver. He was at a different high school but we were pretty close during the summer for track. I haven't seen him for a while but I know he's going up there and it's probably a good place." It's tough to argue with Racine's production. His 45 catches went for 835 yards and seven touchdowns and he scored twice on special teams. Racine did not attend Oregon State's summer camp in Texas but he did camp at Texas State, Boise State, New Mexico and Oklahoma State. As you might imagine would be the case for someone without offers, Racine is keeping an open mind. " I enjoyed Boise State a lot," he added. "It was out in the heat of the day but I enjoyed working with the coaches. I liked Texas State, too. I got to know the coaches a little bit and talked to them. It was good." footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1658374
