The high school performances of our 2015 recruits are really impressive. Here are some highlights:
Softball Miranda Herron. After leading the state with 17 HRs her Jr. year, she exploded out of the gate with 2 dingers her first game. She's hitting about .575. Allison Turner. After 8 no hitters last year, already has 2 and 4 shutouts in Kennedale's 9-1 start.
Women's Basketball Martin and Williams both all district and all state. Williams averaged 17 pts, 4th in metro. Martin at 6'2 only 3rd tallest on her team so played SF and averaged about 10 with 38% from 3. Jones averaged 10 and 7 on state runner up team alongside Danni Williams, one of nation's top recruits (A&M) Wentz led Trinity Christian to 33-10 record and state championship. Don't know her stats but I'll ask Parker.

Wow. Someone to split time with Null next year and a power hitter to go with Hetrick. Basketball signers sound good too.

Men's BB recruits' end of season tidbits:
Hayden Howell scored 18/10 in a 2 point loss in the state championship game. Listed at 6'4" as soph, 6'6" as jr,and 6'7" as a sr. ACU freshman 6'?" Jayden Franklin is being listed at 6'1" in several places. Perhaps he grew an inch? Jalen Lewis averaged 22 and 10 for the season at Parkview Prep. Nice. Of course we all know Farquar averaged 35 and 15 against 1A teams. How quickly can he evolve his game to bigger and better opponents? There's little doubt that Hayden, Jayden, and Jalen will get lot of playing time, I think. All three played a lot of AAU against top competition.
So going into the fall, the roster is Porter (6'8" Sr), Cooke (6'7" Sr), Wentz (5'9" Sr), Hanson (6'0" Sr), Tripp (6'1" Soph), Green (6'3" Soph), Little (5'11" Sr), Crnic (6'5" Jr?), and the four freshmen.

Have seen Martin and Williamson play many times over the years. Martin is an excellent shooter with great size at 6'2". Max Preps has her at 38% from beyond the arc on the season but those stats are not complete. Her high school coach indicated it was closer to 45% and that she knocked down somewhere between 80-90 3s this past year. She had a couple of really big games last summer including a 30 point outburst against Stanford commit Shannon Coffee where she went 8-10 from the arc. Williamson is a great leader and was by far the best player on her high school team. She showed great versatility moving to the point this year and really doing whatever was required to help her team win. She is obviously a really good scorer (top 5 in DFW) but she is also a great defender. I read somewhere that Sarah shot the most free throws of anyone in Texas over the last two years which will fit well into the Lady Wildcats style of play. Wentz is a tough guard who knows how to win and is another player willing to do whatever it takes to help her team. She plays an aggressive and attacking style and led her teams to a state title in basketball and volleyball this year. Jones will bring a physical presence to this class and is another player who knows how to win. Jones can also knock down the outside shot which will be a bonus. Top to bottom this is a really solid class that should keep the program moving in the right direction.

Thanks Leroy. I can't wait to see how this class does. It may be as good as the class that brought the Dimbas, Shelstead, and Mason. Offensively, maybe better.
