The Wildcats did not embarass us today, they played hard and competed. We are a bit predictable on offense and I still think we have the athletes to be deceptively better.

We held a power 5 SEC team to a 17 pt loss. Not bad, the pt spread was 31.5 to 33 pts

This is going to sound silly, but one thing I appreciate that is simple…we actually can kick it deep in to the end zone. We had a stretch of a few years where we could not and had issues with covering kicks. That’s a nice thing to not have to worry about.

Here’s the stat of the day. The Wildcat defense had 9 tackles for loss. Meanwhile, Mizzou had 3 tackles for loss and no sacks.

Just saw the final -- I am surprised to no end that we only got beat by 17 -- I thought at least 35. Just hope we did not sustain any injuries and this is a really good game for the program.

I gotta say I didn't expect it to be this close and it could have been closer if not for a few miscues. DL was very impressive; we should have thrown the ball down the field more; Off Coord was too conservative and didn't open up the offense; our kicker is back. Give this team a couple years and we might get the respect that Liberty is getting.
SEC announcers were definitely homers and they are over confident with regard to the remainder of their season. I predict they will get their clocks cleaned by most SEC schools this year.

This is what I said on the WAC board, but how I feel over-all. We did a good job, but we will have a lot of film to learn from as well. We made Mizzou respect us and that is something to be proud of.
Over-all it was a good game against a solid but struggling SEC team. Still, when the spread was over 31+ and we only lose by 17 I will take that every day. Plus we held them to field goals several times and the over-all score to 34 when it was predicted to be in the 50s. Our defense played a great game and kept us competitive. Our offense could never get a rhythm. Yes, we got predictable and simply made bad calls. Our QB, still makes bad decisions. He will get there, but is still in a big learning curve. As good as our OC is, he is needing to learn the difference between D1 and D3 as well. We should walk away proud though. Mizzou had to keep their starters in the whole game.

Here’s the stat of the day. The Wildcat defense had 9 tackles for loss. Meanwhile, Mizzou had 3 tackles for loss and no sacks. Just leaving the game after talking to the boys….. Just remember, Missouri- Power 5 SEC- beat LA Tech group of 5-by 28 points. LA Tech beat SFA by 35 points. So instead of saying how our boys don’t belong or how Missouri is a bottom level SEC team or whatever you want to find negative, why don’t you just say that we played great and held our own? And, thank you for the above stat. We also had more rushing yards than they did through the 3rd quarter. Maybe our o line isn’t as bad as you have said for 2 weeks. Maybe there’s a lot of pieces to a given play that you can’t blame or give credit to one group/person. Defense kicked butt and outside of 2 long plays, it’s almost an even game. Great job Wildcats.

I had a funeral to attend this morning so only got to watch the second half but I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Defense looked good, Dobbins looked like freshman Dobbins again (a good thing) and we had some nice passes for long gains. Overall, a pretty good game on our part against a team that should have been easily more athletic than us.

Nice 50 yd play for te touchdown 34-17 Mizzou maybe we should set up a dedicated thread for folks who need play by play. I’ve got espn and these posts really clutter the game day thread Not really needed. One thread per game works pretty well. There are those who use these threads for updates as they are out for specific reasons and not able to follow on ESPN. We had a Wildcat fan in that very scenario today.
