Here’s the stat of the day. The Wildcat defense had 9 tackles for loss. Meanwhile, Mizzou had 3 tackles for loss and no sacks. Just leaving the game after talking to the boys….. Just remember, Missouri- Power 5 SEC- beat LA Tech group of 5-by 28 points. LA Tech beat SFA by 35 points. So instead of saying how our boys don’t belong or how Missouri is a bottom level SEC team or whatever you want to find negative, why don’t you just say that we played great and held our own? And, thank you for the above stat. We also had more rushing yards than they did through the 3rd quarter. Maybe our o line isn’t as bad as you have said for 2 weeks. Maybe there’s a lot of pieces to a given play that you can’t blame or give credit to one group/person. Defense kicked butt and outside of 2 long plays, it’s almost an even game. Great job Wildcats. Excellent post, Football Mama. Your baby boy had a superior game today as did the whole OLine. Very proud of them for playing so well that the Tiger fans started booing their own team. HaHaHa

Good game, y'all. That didn't feel like an FCS team out there. No disrespect to LA Tech who I think will be fine in time with Sonny Cumbie, but Mizzou really leaned on them and dominated them physically at points. I don't feel like that happened at all today. From my perspective it was really frustrating that our offense couldn't just line up and impose our will upon your defense. I anticipated that ACU would give a good account of themselves but I thought we would be able to control the battle in the trenches better. Full credit to ACU for holding up the entire way through. It was a weird game in that I never really felt too anxious or nervous about the eventual outcome but I left feeling pretty uninspired nevertheless.
The ACU people I visited with today were universally very cool and nice to talk to. That isn't just a throw away line, trying to be respectful either. Good conversation before, during, and after the game. I am hopeful that ACU has a good year in the WAC. There seems to be a good roster and coaching staff to build with. Good luck against Western New Mexico and beyond.

Very nice of you to share your thoughts. Mizzou was clearly a physically better team, but our Wildcats can learn from games like this one. You guys won pretty easily but we did hang in and keep playing till the end. We want to continue to improve and games like this one will help that a lot. Now I want Mizzou to go on and have a good year and do well in your great conference.

Proud of this team this morning for all the reasons that have been mentioned in earlier posts. But one reason I do not think has been mentioned yet was our discipline and lack of penalties. ONE PENALTY for FIVE YARDS. This is something we haven’t seen in a long time and I think it’s an important indication of the culture that KP and staff are building that will go a long way in winning games.

Wow, ACU scores 3 points more than Auburn in 60 minutes against Mizzou. The Tigers had two victories slip through their hands today. They miss a short field goal that would have won, and then fumble the winning TD in overtime, losing the ball and the game. Mizzou played great defense but really messed up and gave the game away. Imagine, it was Auburn.

Missouri is playing tonight in a Bowl Game... Let's see if they win by more than 17 points.
Edit: Oh well, looks like Wake Forest is beating Mizzo.
