Very cool to see Mansell get that INT. The team went absolutely NUTS for Peyton on that interception. Shows you how much they still look at his leadership. They were so happy for him.

Good grinding win. Nice to see our running game take control of the line of scrimmage on the ground. But 7 sacks allowed. Ouch.
After their early score, WNMU didn't string a lot together. ACUD with 7 TFL, 10 QB hits, and 7 pass breakups. They should have cashed in more than Mansell's int. The secondary is improving from week to week.
Utah Tech is next, but the big measuring stick is on the road on Oct. 8 at SFA. There's no deception that the Lumberjacks will take shots downfield with quality receivers (like Xavier Gibson). Below Wedman is open versus Warner.

Is the offensive line still a problem in pass protection?
Do we have a qb controversy?

In my humble opinion which is worth absolutely nothing, there is no controversy. McIvor was struggling. Ethan took over the offense and the rest is history. He did the same thing during the scrimmage I saw before the season started, so I was a little surprised that McIvor won the quarterback contest. As far as the OL is concerned, they have to and will get better. Same for the receivers. In the end, I thought our running game established itself which kept WNM from just pinning their ears back and blitzing our quarterback. Anyone see differently?
