I’d argue that our recruiting has not been good enough the last few years. I’m sorry to say that but we’ve had lots of transfers out and our most recent successful players have been established players that transfer in as grad transfers. That’s on top of the fact that we’ve been average since the southland move. Also, what’s the biggest complaint on WBB? That we only play 5-7 players and don’t ever rotate. Is that because we don’t trust the players we recruit???

You are right. Here are our freshmen recruits for the previous 4 years. Current roster members in bold.
2019 - No freshmen were recruited. 2020 - Katie Horyna, Taylor Morgan, Alice Stephenson, Hanna Matthews. Should be this year’s seniors. 2021 - Alexis Babineaux, Bella Earle, Addison Martin, Niyah Johnson, Nykale Cramer 2022 - Reagan Fox, Hampton Williams, Tristan Keller, Claire Graham
Four players in four years. Two starters.
We have, however, gotten some very good transfers like Sara Griswold, Jamie Bonnarens, Maleeah Langstaff, Aspen Thornton and Zoe Jackson.
I like the 2023 freshman class a lot. I’m hoping Julie throws them on the court starting with the first game. I would hate to see them languishing on the bench for a year…. ….unless…. …. they are all redshirted and join the 2024 class (if it turns out as good as I think it will) and we have two recruiting years of top talent for 4 years.

A little more about Heard. She is listed as a 6'0 forward. She is a 2-time state champion (21 and 23). Heard averaged 13.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while shooting 55% from the field and 48% from 3. Her coach said she is the best defender on the team and can guard 1-5. With Heard and Pique committed, the roster is full for 2024-2025. However, I anticipate that they will add at least 1-2 more commits, as we can expect a few players to hit the portal once this season is done. Tyla has a one year older sister, Stailee, who is a freshman at Oklahoma State. Same size as Tyla.

Based on a tweet from a coach last night, it appears that there is a new commit for the team

I think it’s Aimee Flippen. She was here for Moody Madness.

FWIW, Emma is a 6’1 point guard and Molly is a 5’11 shooting guard.

Anyone know the connection with ACU? Seems strange they would come to our elite camp w/o some prior connection. Summerville lost in state final last year when the sisters were sophs. About 2 hrs from me so maybe I can go see a game.

Could they be Randy Daugherty’s nieces?

These "veiled" announcements do nothing for me.

Is Riley Grohman committed? Whoever is the subject of Ethan’s tweet is committed. Based on some things I was told, I am inferring that it is Grohman.
