Can it be true? 9-0 Cats. Congratulations on the win. Seems like forever for a conference victory. I know it feels good for the team.

wishing we could will baseball into a good place. What began (after Michigan State series) with lots of hope, has fizzled badly. Last year we couldn't get needed crucial hits, this year our pitching has been dismal. My count shows that we lose 5 players off this years roster. I've not been researching the players I've seen added (twitter announcements) so not sure if we are upgrading. I do know we are in a highly competitive league that takes no prisoners. There have been a few pitching highlights from some of our younger players like Scott, Skeffington, Kotulac but most of that has been in mid week games when higher ranked squads are playing some players who don't get a lot of playing time so those highlights may be "smoke and mirrors." Lance, if I could I would give millions to upgrade the program; I hate to see a once strong program go down the tubes. It seems we have some capable hitting, just wish we could add some pitching that could keep us in the game. I almost choked when we walked 14 (it was 14 wasn't it) vs KState and still lost by just just 1. Ridiculous. We need serious help here. Someone close assess where we are as a program and what will it take to get to the top of this league. Is it even possible?

Had a 5 minute talk with Britt. He's struggling to stay positive for sure. But they have had 12 injuries. 12 guys who are not presently available. He needs a little good luck.

We are so bad. I expect another offseason full of attrition. We apparently don't have D1 caliber pitching.

We win another game. Good starting effort by Drew Hansen.

The team has 3 conference wins out of 26 games. By comparison the mens tennis team had 4 conference wins in 5 games. Now i'm not an expert, but i'm pretty sure you don't want your tennis teams winning more in 5x less games.

Positives. We seek positives. Good starting pitching has been a problem. Celebrate the good effort..

Getting shelled again by Corpus Christi. Hansen, who pitched decently last week can't get an out this week. And we finish with #1 In the nation, Oregon State. Last night Lambright walked 9 guys in his 4 innings. No amount of injuries at 3rd base or 2nd or catcher can explain why you leave a pitcher in the game who can't locate the plate. How do we go from a decent pitching staff to one this ineffective? Is there not a pitching coach available to help? Where is Nolan Ryan when we really need him? Are there reinforcements on the way?

Heard today we are getting a Texas Tech "bounce back" via a juco. He apparently won a bunch of games this year. Wish I had gotten a name, sorry. Guys I was talking with follow ACU baseball and they were pretty excited.

Played this past season at Midland College.

That would certainly be a step. Maybe 4 or 5 more would turn the tide.
