If the dawgs do win, it will be a 28-24 type game. Ive seen this too many times (2008), where the offense isnt clicking like it should because the long layoff. This OU team just feels different though. Georgias pass defense is only letting 158 yards a game get by them. How much can that be attributed to their run game and not facing spread teams(outside of Auburn).

He's way better than Colt McCoy and Colt has managed to stay employed in the NFL. Seriously, so many factors go into winning one of only a few NFL jobs. Like Boomer, I rarely miss a game and I cant say whether he'll be a star, but he will have a career in the league, IMHO.. Meanwhile, while Baker is in trading camp, the Canines of Bull will still be trying to figure out how OU scored 50 on them. Ryan Leaf is "better" than Colt McCoy, too.

The first game Auburn took a commanding early lead which took Georgia out of its game plan. The second game Georgia dominated by establishing the run and pounding on Auburn’s defense until they lost heart. The game with OU could go either way. Let Georgia do what Georgia does, hit you in the mouth on every play and run the ball at you, and the Dawgs have a great chance of winning. Take Georgia out of its game plan and force them to pass more than they would like and it’s Aiburm 1 all over again.

Article in newspaper today, says Georgia just suspended another player (3rd). I know one was a starting LB but not sure of the others.
On another front--I find it hard to compare players who have exceptional skills but played at different times and at different places. I think Cattitudes Oklahoma bias and hating anything resembling burnt orange led to the comparison of Mayfield and McCoy. Maybe Mayfield is better but then he came from a football factory (Lake Travis) and McCoy came from lowly Jim Ned. I'd say McCoy has come further, developed his skills better, and is highly thought of by his community as a person and not just a QB. Mayfield has a long way to go in those areas and his antics may keep him from developing into the top flight QB many think he already is. Jury is still out for me. "Ryan Leaf", thanks 86.

Two were part time starters, the other was a freshman. One was a WR who played mostly on special teams, one a LB who started 6 games this year and the freshman was a DB. I don’t believe he played this year. Two were caught smoking a joint and the most recent one passed a forged 100 dollar bill. Update to add: charges have now been dropped against the two players charged with misdemeanor possession. Not sure how this will effect their eligibility for the Rose Bowl. The third player is charged with a first degree felony.

Actually, I wasn't even thinking UT when I mentioned Colt. I could have said Case Keenum - another Abilene product. I was just thinking of QBs without classic size and ability who have been employed in the league for a while. So much depends on where he gets drafted, the system, etc. (BTW, Colt was a coach's son who attended QB academy every summer so he had plenty of advantage.) Baker's two negative incidents are certainly cringeworthy. But beyond that, he is said to be a good student, the team leader, the hardest worker on the team. Don't you have to be a little bit "cocky" to walk on at two Big 12 schools and beat out the scholarship guys then ultimately be the best QB in college football? As as I said, he could be Russell Wilson or Ryan Leaf. Only time will tell.

I”m learning some interesting things about Oklahoma. Their state fruit is the watermelon. Wait, arent watermelons a vegetable, you ask? Why, yes, but Oklahoma watermelons self identify as a fruit so it’s ok. Oklahoma is a very progressive that way.

The school whose star player has the initials BM would be a lock if this were the Toilet Bowl.
