RB Jamon Chambers committed!!!! That's great. I can't wait to see what he can do.

We need RB's but I'm not sold on Chambers. I hope he's as good as some think but we still need a bigger back that can pick up yards inside. I hope our coaches have a lead on other backs but now with another TE leaving our focus may be more on that position.

We definitely need more TEs. This was a position that I thought we were beginning to get strong at again, but just can't stay strong at. It's disappointing. I prayed that we would finally begin to be a program that brought players in and was able to develop them for 4 years into strong men, as well as athletes. I don't like that we have to keep bringing in so many transfers. Parents of transfers, please don't get me wrong. We have had many come in that have more than proven themselves in life, the classroom and the field. That isn't what I am referring to. I just struggle sometimes with answering the question of what we can do based on what the expectations of players often are coming out of HS. I was hoping Anderson could fill that need for another powerback, but that fell through. I am now hoping that Chambers can learn from Billy and fill some speedback shoes. What does that do for our offense? I think Tyrese will have a lot of pressure on him for short yardage situations. Conrad showed sparks of potential, but even if Dobbins proves statistics wrong and sticks around, there will be a gap. Our TEs were just showing promise in our scheme...now??? I think all of this will put even more pressure on our OL.

I agree it would be nice to pick one up. I breathed a sigh of relief when Chambers committed because we really need a stable of running backs to see us through the season and the stable was looking very thin.

Just saw this- K/PO Prominence Akubuo-Onwuemeka received an offer on June 12. It looks like he started out at San Diego St and then transferred to Diablo Valley JUCO. He has 2 years to play

He is followed by Coach Collums on Twitter. Did we actually get someone that UCA was recruiting? If so, I consider that a win.

Johnson has some speed. Good pick up, methinks.

DE Marquez Brown from Fort Scott JUCO committed earlier today. He is listed at 6'3 230. From what I can tell, he only played in 4 games last year, amassing 2 tackles

Looks to have some quickness off the end and makes strong tackles (very little tape). Wonder why? Injury? I like getting someone from the Miami area.
