Here is what is funny to me- 247 had his 4 offers, but had him high on UNT and La. Monroe, even though months ago, he said we were in his top 3.

Former Texas St LB John Brannon has committed to ACU. Brannon is listed at 6'0, 236. Not sure if he has one year or two years left

247 Sports timeline says he enrolled at Texas State on Sept. 3, 2018. And I think he took a RS year after playing 3 games (maybe in 2019), so he may have 3 years left. 3 star with offers from Colorado St., New Mexico before signing with Texas State.

He started playing at Texas St in 2017. He played high school ball at Prosper HS.
FYI, I don’t think he is our only FBS transfer. I just think he’s the first to officially announce his commitment

Dillingham is a great get. He had offers from Lamar, Angelo St, Houston Baptist, UIW and Valporaiso Watched his HUDL and he looks fast, loads up and tackles through the ball carrier and seems to have good instincts reading the play. Still a bit mystified how Jim Ned beat a #1 ranked Brock, not to take anything away from JN. Looks like he could add some weight and slide into an LB spot. |

I like that we are recruiting from some of the small Texas schools. We have a better chance of finding some real gems that other schools may overlook. Also hoping that hosting high school playoff games helps get our presence out to winning football programs.

I really like what I see on film from Dillingham. I like his speed (4.4) which we really need at safety. If the staff wants him to grow a little and play LB then so be it but he looks like a natural at safety to me.

Bogey, I agree! I think he can add a little bit of weight, but we need a ballhawk at safety, and Dillingham appears to be that guy.
We have had 3 commitments since Friday morning.
Here is where things stand, and how many more at each position I think we will add-
QB- 1, Hayden Anderson. Don't be surprised if we add 1 more QB to the roster
RB- 1, Jar'Quae Walton. I expect 1 transfer to commit and 1 more high school player
WR- None. I anticipate the staff adding at least 3 WRs to the team. Probably a transfer or 2 and a high school player
TE- 1 Colt Cooper. I expect the staff to add a transfer to the mix
OL- None. Coach Mario is searching high and low for help here. I honestly expect 4 new players. 2 transfers and 2 high school players
DE- 1, Tyrin Bradley. I expect 2 more players to be added. An impact transfer and another high school player
DT- None. Another position they are looking high and low for players. Expect 1 transfer and 1 high school player
LB- 3, Cirby Coheley, Kyle Pointer and John Brannon. Props to the staff for seeing a huge need here. I still expect 1 more transfer and 1 more high school player added
CB- None. With Stapp, Satterfield and Triston Anderson, we are in pretty good shape. Expect the staff to add 1 transfer to the mix here.
S- 1, Luke Dillingham. The addition of Dillingham really helps. Like cornerback, I would anticipate another transfer into the program here.
