I see that our 9 previous verbal commitments have all signed on the dotted line. Some seemingly good players but what do I know. Looking forward to some big guys committing (OL/DL) and several more RB's and WO's. #Go Cats.

Oscar, I certainly think so -- the official press release is already out on ACUsports.

Just watched Anthony Smith highlights from HS. Looks to be a really good RB. Has good speed, finds holes, evades tacklers well and has a nose for the end zone. Will be interesting to see how he fits in to our rotation.

Mavsman, you do an incredible job of keeping track of potential signees -- I frankly don't know how you do such a thorough job! With early signing day largely finished, CatChat readers will also have a better idea (because of Mavsman's work) of who is on the board and will be primary targets for ACU as this 2nd round of recruiting begins in earnest. Usually after this early signing window all of the FBS schools have completed their class for the year.

With 9 signees during the early signing period, the staff still has lots of work to do, before National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 3. Biggest needs-
WR- our top players are coming back, but we need more size and more depth.
OL- as many as 4 starters appear to be gone from this year's team. Coach Mario is on the hunt to find some studs up front
DE- The addition of Bradley is a great start. This staff is desperate for pass rushers. I would expect an impact transfer to come in at some point
LB- yes, 3 players signed yesterday, but there is room for more. I still expect 1-2 players to be added to the mix, including another transfer
The school year will start on January 11, so don't be surprised if there is a transfer or 3 that is on campus before the new semester starts

I missed this offer from a few days ago. Missouri City Hightower OL Jaden Steele received an offer. Steele is listed at 6'5, 260.

Also, DT Landon Eades from Boerne Champion picks up an offer. He is listed at 6'3, 280. This might be a PWO, but for now, I will leave it as an offer.

After watching, I would like to see us land a player like Zach Tucker from Argyle, a mere 6'8" and 265, but he already has many offers, the latest of which is Arkansas. Argyle looked awesome.

Tucker signed with Texas Tech. Argyle is loaded. I got to watch them at Wildcat Stadium last weekend. Absolutely dominant. We are interested in several of their players; QB Rogers, RB Byce, WRs Walker and Kirkpatrick

QB Rogers is clearly a pick worth having, and I also liked their receivers, especially one I cannot recall the name -- maybe Walker or Kirkpatrick. That whole team was indeed dominant. Any ACU ex's on their coaching staff?
