I sure hope we have some nice surprises tomorrow. I haven't been too overwhelmed so far. Some nice additions but no real game changers to me.

So far I like Dillingham, Pointer, and Eades. I have a hard time evaluating OL but Andrews may be a good one. Looking forward to some surprises tomorrow.

We may have a good one in Andrew Edwards. I really like his film. Good speed, good hands, doesn't give up on routes.

How about Hayden Anderson, he looks pretty good to me.

What needs to happen today- sign a combination of recruits at positions if need who we believe are capable of eventually starting or working their way into the rotation, a few impact players at any position, and a solid group of PWO’s to provide a quality scout team, with the potential for one or two members of the group to move into the rotation and be granted a scholarship at some point.
While an impact player might emerge from under the radar scholarship players with life’s if any other offers or from the PWO cohort, it’s more likely these players are on the radar of other FCS and G5 teams with multiple offers and three stars. That or we pick them up via the transfer portal.

With all the usual caveats here is the 247 Composite recruiting rank for the SLC and new WAC FCS heading into today:
National composite rank in ( )
1. Southern Utah (138j 2. Lamar (143) 3. UIW (145) 4. Sam Houston (146) 5. SFA (151) 6. UCA (165) 7. McNeese (167) 8. HBU (181) 9. ACU (205) 10. Northwestern State (212)* 10. Dixie State (212)* 12. Tarleton (NA)** 12. Nicholls (NA) ** 12. SLU (NA)**

It will be interesting to see if we move up by the end of the day.

We should move up a ton after the first signing. I’m impressed it was kept a secret for so long.

I look forward to finding out about our mystery signing, Also, 247 doesn’t have OL Jackson Andrews, as an ACU commit. He’s a two star guy with offers from FBS schools so he will give us a boost as well. There was very little difference between many of the schools in the rankings. Just a few quality signings should move us up.

We should move up a ton after the first signing. I’m impressed it was kept a secret for so long. Was Reese Moore the recruit you had in mind? I didn’t have inside information. I noticed trends and had conversations with another person on this board. I saw the tweet from ACU Football seconds within the recruiting rankings were posted and thought “this has changed.” So Moore was the one I was excited about.

So how many years does Moore play with us? Should have 3 years but as a grad transfer he must be limited.

So how many years does Moore play with us? Should have 3 years but as a grad transfer he must be limited. I found this on another site..... Under normal circumstances he who’d have two years based. On his 2018 enrollment atUT. He would normally have a total of 5 years to play 4 ...counting both his time at UT and ACU. If a player graduates with college eligibility remaining, they can play elsewhere right away. (That’s as long as they’ve still got time left on their five-year clock. The simplest way to extend your five years is to suffer a season-ending injury early in a season, then hope the NCAA gives you a year back because of it.) BUT since 2020 was a free year, I think you are right that he has 3 years. Whether he chooses to remain that long remains to be seen. He could complete a grad degree in one or two years and move on.
