I was a little worried when I turned on Live Stats and it was 43-43, then it took us a little bit to begin to pull away. Nicholls should be interesting.

Nicholls is a very winnable game. Nicholls State key numbers
Team Leaders- 6'0 Soph C. Cain averages 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds a game 5'7 Jr Allen 8.7 points 5'8 Soph Mann 8.7 points 5'4 SophMcKay 5.4 points 5'9 Jr Washington 4.9 points 5'7 Jr McKendree 11.0 points and nearly 3 steals a game (comes off the bench)
Team Numbers ACU Nicholls Points 70.3 62.2 Rbds 37.7 34.3 Turnovers 18.3 19.7 FG%. 44.9 40.3 3PT% 33.6 29.3 FT% 77.3 70.0 Steals 7.9. 9.9
Key to this game will be can we avoid turnovers. If our guards will take care of the ball, we should be okay. Morgan and Horyna played really well today. I think we will need them to be big again tomorrow

Good information... encouraging. Today, Anna played quite well, and Griswold was solid too. I cannot tell if our ball handling is shaky or if UIW is just much faster. Happy for the win, that's for sure. The game was on replay on ESPN+

The 2nd and 3rd qtrs in game against UIW were as close to or if not the best the team has played all season. The pace of the game and ball movement allowed Anna to be Anna. 23 pts in each qtr and 81 for the game. But the biggest stat only 10 TO. If the team continues to play like this they will be playing on Sunday.

I noticed the improved ball movement. They also played a lot of people. Went deep in the roster. I think the Cats should climb aboard the McCloud train and ride her hard. She needs the ball in her hands every possession.

30-24 ACU at the half. Cain for Nicholls has 15 points.
Not sure how this game will finish, but Taylor Morgan has the chance to be really, really special! 7 points in 13 minutes off the bench. McLeod leads ACU with 9

Our Ladies suffered through a below par performance on all stats. Good defense for Nichol's paid off. The good looks that McCloud had was off target. 2 of 14 3's. She still drove the basket and played hard. Fun watching Taylor. Wow.

It is a sad time for our seniors. I wonder who will come back? Do we have a taller post player coming our way for next year? We also need a point who is a big time assist type with lightening fast passing and fewer turnovers.

I would be surprised if any of the seniors came back. The only one I could remotely see if Mabry. The staff has already signed 5 high school commits, which will replace the 4 seniors and Diamond who left the team a few weeks back. I do think they will look for a transfer at post. As far as a point, I think she is already on this team and her name is Taylor Morgan. Honestly, a point guard doesn't have to average a ton of assists. Instead, they must control the offense, get everyone into their offensive set. I also think Bella Earle will be really, really good, though I think she is more of a 2.
Without a transfer, this team will be really young. 9 of the 13 players will be in their 1st or 2nd year in the program. There is a lot of talent, it will just be really young

I just want faster passing and fewer turnovers. But we do need a post and a good transfer could really fortify this team.
