NCAA football is crazy. Less than a month ago Michigan St beat Michigan 37-33. Last week Ohio St smothered Michigan 56-7. This week Michigan comes back and wins over Ohio St 42-27. Michigan is in the driver's seat for a playuff spot, but they play Wisconsin or Iowa next week. That was a BIG win for Michigan!!

Alabama took 4 overtime to beat Auburn 24-22. They need to beat Georgia to make the playoffs. Georgia, Michigan and Cincinatti are in the driver's seat.

I think a two loss Ohio St might be better than a two loss Alabama. I would put Georgia, Cincinnati, or a one loss Michigan, Oklahoma St or Notre Dame over a two loss team Alabama or Ohio St. There are 6 potential playoff teams with 0 or 1 loss and unless several of them lose this weekend nobody else will be able to overtake them.

I hear you, but, I put more stock in Bama beating an unranked Auburn on the the in 4 OT’s than I do Ohio State 49-point home win over Michigan State, which is Michigan only loss. My point being the SEC is a superior league such that an SEC victory is worth 50% more than one in the BIG, ACC, PAC-12 and, for sure, Big XII.

I do agree that the SEC is the best football conference by far.

With Oklahoma St jumping over Notre Dame for 5th place, Notre Dame needs two of the four teams above them two lose. They almost need Alabama to lose, to have a real shot. Michigan, Geoegia, Cincinnati and Oklahoma St are all favored to win. Notre Dame is off this week.

ND is 0-1 More importantly, IF UGA beats Bama and Zero St. beats BU (again!), I still believe Bama’s “body of work” is better than that of #’s 5 or 6.

We’ll have agree to disagree as, IMHO, Bama’s losses are better than Zero St’s or ND’s wins. At least the teams that beat Bama are still ranked. OSU can’t say that

Baylor putting a big time beating on Oklahoma St so far 21-6 at halftime. If the Cowboys don't step it up we are down to five 0 or 1 lose teams with a ealistic chance to make the playoffs. Notre Dame with an off day is feeling much better about their chances.
