Montana St beats S Dakota St 31-17.
That was a very impressive win. I have watched Montana St last week against Sam Houston St and today against S Dakota St. Both games were great wins. I never expected them to win either game. Tommy Mellott, their freshman QB who just became a starter two weeks ago is the real deal.

He is more of a running back that can throw similar to Taysom Hill with the New Orleans Saints. He is very effective for the college game, however.

N Dakota St opens as a 9.5 point favorite over Montana St.
After watching Montana St play the past two weeks, I will definitely take Montana St. with the points.

Montana St playoff hero quarterback Tommy Mallott is out of the game with injury after only three pass attempts. A third string quarterback is in the game for the bobcats.

North Dakota State is huge and powerful. Glad we don't have to play them. They look like they could push around a P5 team.

It is hard to believe that one team is so dominant in the FCS. N Dakota St is up 35-0 early in 3rd quarter.

I know that Montana St lost Tommy Mellott to injury in the first series of the game but S Dakota St is playing so dominantly, Mellott probably wouldn't have made a huge difference. The score is now 38-3 at the end of the 3rd quarter. This quarter has been evenly played.

S Dakota St wins 38-10in a dominant win. I am glad I didn't bet this game because I thought it would be very close. Losing a starting quarterback on the 7th play ot the game definitely hurt Montana St.

North Dakota State is 9-9 in the FCS Championship Game....all since 2011.
When asked how hard it is to stay on top of the FCS, NDSU Head Coach Matt Entz says"
"We don't talk about last year, we just try to make every year the best opportunity for our kids" Entz said. "This is the first championship for this team. We focus on each year and work to get it done from the beginning."
I like this way of thinking. We need to all focus on each year and not bring the past with us. We have a new coaching staff, we will have a new team. Let's start today and focus on getting it done!
