Cats do it again. Win series after losing 1st game. Bottom of 9th rally after giving up 2 runs with 2 outs in 9th to tie.

Really exciting today. Top of ninth and we are up two runs. Our reliever throws off speed pitches and sure enough, UVU gets on base and then we give up a fat 2 run home-run. Amazingly we get a runner on third and our ninth place hitter, Borho, from Wylie, laces a winning hit into right field. Great win. The UVU visitors were very nice and we agreed both teams are really good this year. We also used bunts this game, to great effect. Well played.

BTW, Lanhan is a fine young pitcher. You cannot read his deliveries. He is very well schooled and should be a super pitcher over time.

It was a good win after UVU tied it up. I had been watching the women's softball game, SO disappointing. Then I walked over to the baseball game in the 8th while it was tied 2-2. I got to see us get the two runs and take the lead. Then watch them tie it up again. We really played that last series well.

A bad loss last night to SFA. A 4 win team and a superlative 7 innings from Austin Glaze and our 2 best relievers can't hold the lead. We get 1 hit. Our offense is anemic at best and if our 1st 3 hitters can't get on we struggle.

We win game 2, 12-4. Top of the batting order carried the game for us. De La Cruz did a good job finishing the game.

Was their pitcher that good? Or we just had a bad night for everybody last night. ? I've seen world series champions have the same type of luck with games. Our offense is not always anemic. We get 14 hits today. Quoting a former Texas Ranger manager. " That's the way baseball go" .

How in the world did we lose 1-2 to this team last night?

How in the world did we lose 1-2 to this team last night? It was a bizarre loss for sure I agree.

Baseball continues their trend of losing the 1st game of a series then coming back to win the last 2 games.11-3 over SFA today. Another good start by Brett Lanman. Ben Greer also continues his surge with a double, single and HR with 3 RBI's.

Talking about how anemic the wildcats batting was in their first game, did anybody watch the world champion Texas Rangers play tonight? Anemic?
That's just the way baseball go!

We are still in 2nd place in the WAC standings but with interesting stats: 1) We have one more conference win than GCU, and 2) we have a better over-all PCT. than GCU. In conference play, GCU sits at 9-3 with a CPCT. of .750 and we are 10-5 with a CPCT. of .667. Over-all though, we are 19-13 with a PCT. of .594 and GCU is 16-15 with a PCT. of .516.
**I'll add that both CBU and UVU have a CPCT. of .667, but are 8-4.
We just need to keep rolling.

Doesn't matter until tournament time, but would be nice to be at the top going in. Still a lot of baseball left though.
