Thanks for the this. Coach Holloway tweeted out two more commitments last night. I wonder who they are.

I am in Patagonia without reliable internet service. Thanks for picking up the slack , wildcatter. Sounds like things are going well. A couple more quality wr types would be great.

Looks like we have another committed player flipping on us. David Racine is apparently committing to Houston Baptist? I hate to bash other programs but I really don't understand why as a WR you would flip from us to a program like HBU. I'm also worried Damon Weaver is being pulled to UIW. Only 4 more days.

Oscar, will you start a signing day thread like last year or are you back yet?

Has anybody been keeping track of the recruiting services ratings of these guys? I know last year we listed if they were 247 or rivals rated, but I have not seen much of that this year. I hope this is because nobody added it to the list and not because not many of the guys are rated, (GULP). I know that ratings don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, but after watching ACU in D2 for so many years and having essentially all of the recruits be unrated, it was nice to feel like on of the big boys.

I should be able to keep everyone to speed, at least through the early portion of the morning

I added stars last year. I have not done that this year since my internet access is limited while we are traveling. I will plug in this information when I return to the US next week. From the little online research I have done so far, Henderson, Weaver Sadler and Olie are three star recruits and Laws, Edmundson and Hall are rated two stArs. (There may be others I have missed).

I'm really curious if there are any surprise "gets" for us. A local kid here had a change of heart after verbally committing to UCLA ten days ago and surprised everyone this morning by committing to UT. Maybe we can get a kid who, after having some time to think, decides he likes the way ACU football will prepare him for life after football. Should be a fun day and I'm home with a sick kid so I'll be following along.

While I was away a question was asked about how our recruits were rated by the four national rating services. Here is a list of our recruits. I have highlighted the ones who are rated by one of the four major services. Sadler was a 3 star recruit all season long, but was re rated post season. The same thing happened to Cody Ennis last year. When rated by more than one service, I used the highest rating.
Andren Anderson OL 6-2 285 Lubbock, TX (Monterey) Quincy Dunn OLB 6-1 205 Lancaster, TX (Lancaster) *Dewan Edmonson DT 6-1 290 Pearland, TX (Manvel/UTEP) 2 star Rivals Hunter Griffith TE 6-3 230 Flower Mount, TX (Argyle Liberty Christian) J.R. How would you rate this class?
To me, there are three or four ways to "grade" a recruiting class--numbers of players with stars, how many recruits were offered by other programs, and how well recruits fit a particular system/stye of play, or the number and quality of recruits to fill high priority needs. You may have other ways.

This seemed to be a tougher recruiting year. but I think the coaches set their sights high - looking primarily for d backs and wide receivers especially after the two D- tackles came at mid-term.
The three unstarred gems of this class are Phelps, James, and Griffith , in my opinion.
We missed a bunch of DB prospects, it seems, but if you include Griffith, looks like we signed some talented future WRs.
At DB we've got Ausbornes, Epps (?), Baker, Bryant, Barnett, Arnold, Howard, Walker, Johnson, and Mack. So our cupboard is not bare. There will be fierce competion in the spring. Ausborne was a *** and Mack and Howard were **. Henderson is a *** coming in the fall and Prince will be at Spring training.
LB and DL are really deep. Douglas said that Devondrick will likely move inside - all 6'5" and 300 pounds of him. But he's behind the other guys right now.
In short, I think a bunch of guys looked at our roster and decided they might not play as early as the think they should.
