Appears as if Gary McKnight, WR from Oklahoma is headed to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. So unless there is a mystery WR out there then maybe Donald Monroe is our last target.bv Brandon Colon. Paging Mr. Brandon Colon. Branadon Colon to aisle 3.

Paging Mr. Brandon Colon. Branadon Colon to aisle 3. Scout shows he is visiting UTSA this weekend. Looks like it is down to Donald Monroe or no one. Hope we get him. Our overall class looks very good but remains a couple of playmakers away from greatness. Defense gets an A. Could be an A plus before its ove Offense-B QB gets an A. Need a top WR/TE, RB and one more OL to move the overall O grade to an A. I should add that I like the guys we have coming in at WR, RB and OL. Just not enough of em. Just my opinion, of course.

Mr. Melde might be the additional OL. We have 3 interchangeable TE's right now in Parker, Walker and Cheshire with Walker a Junior to be, so TE might not be a need this year to recruit. I do wish we had another RB and WR coming in although we've been so top heavy on offense in the past few years (10 or so) it's really good to see the number of defensive players we've targeted. If we can just get them signed and on campus. Our coaches may have a surprise or two waiting in the wings.

Would also say that if we were to sign Sam Denmark, he is a very capable TE also with all the LB's we are signing.

What I had in mind was someone like Cedric Williams who is big enough to play tight end and fast enough to play wide receiver. Also agree that it is nice to see the D load up after years of dominance by the O. And, yeah, a surprise RB would be fantastic! Melde would be a very good pick up, too.

That's too many. Texas Tech is down to one this spring. It's a good bet that at least one of our QB's will switch to another position, most likely WR or TE.

I was just looking over my recruiting notes. Larry Rose seems to be the only recruiting battle we lost for kids we went all-in sign. Some others have committed elsewhere but none appeared to be a top priority.

Man, we keep talking about Donald Moore when his name is Donald MONROE. No wonder I couldn't find him. Has his brother really committed to San Jose St.? Maybe we could get a 2fer. Make Ronald into a deep threat and Donald a possession receiver.

Make Ronald into a deep threat and Donald a possession receiver. Ronald decommitted from Wazzu because they wanted him as a WR. He wants to play QB. He has offers from San Jose State and a couple of other Mountain West schools at QB. He is at Vanderbilt this weekend. They are recruiting him as a QB. No way he comes here as a WR. Nice idea though. I don't know if Donald is at ACU or not. He said earlier in the week he was coming but he played Basketball in Houston last night. Maybe he is coming in today? Weather is not cooperating. It is supposed to turn cold and icy tonight in A town.

I was trying to see if any of you posted about my friend Colton King he committed there on the first weekend. He is an O-lineman at JJ pearce. You probably haven't heard about him because he only played one year and I don't think he is big into social media.

He is a big young man though. Glad to hear he has committed. Hope to see his name on the dotted line on Wednesday.

ACUfriend...thanks for filling us in but can you provide any more info? Why only football one year for a kid that big?? Just to clarify I meant he only started one year on varsity. He played more than one year, he only started one year. The reason is simple he was just really bad and he was only 6'2" I think, and 270 something pounds of just fat. He was mad that he wasn't starting so he started working out like 30+ hours a week. Then he hit his growth spurt and grew 4 inches. He lost a bunch of weight and put on a ton of muscle. He ended up being the best lineman on our team this year! He really likes ACU I can't see him going anywhere else!

We don't have direct access to inside information from coaches. We only know about commits if they post on twitter or one of the scouting services mentions it. Look forward to having him as a part of the Wildcat nation.
