Glad to see some pics of the Cats arrival in Germany. I know coach Tanner wishes he had Dibba and Igiehon on the trip. Sure hoping there are no glitches in getting both on campus this fall. 2 really important cogs to our success in 23-24.

It looks like the Wildcats are 2-0 in their exhibition games over in Germany. Source: (ACU Men's Basketball Twitter Account)
96-50 vs TSJB Munich 86-57 vs Kikz IBAM
Seems like the trip was a success and I hope for safe travels back to Abilene for them.

I would say add the wins to their camps with the kids and their trips to places like Nuremburg, etc... and yes... very successful. I hope trips like this really bring the team together.

I was looking at the pics posted on X of our team in Germany. I thought I saw Dibba in one of them. Was I mistaken or can someone confirm. Maybe he got to come back with the team.

Mid morning I was astonished at the traffic light at Judge Ely and North sixteenth. A line of cars was backup in the right hand lane of southbound Judge Ely almost to the turning-in to the East facing main entrance to ACU. All were trying to turn right onto sixteenth and I guess the dorms. It was a standstill nightmare due to all the construction.
Thanks Mav, was glad to see Igiehon.

Pretty good interview. Tanner doesn’t really do “coach speak”.

A great evening at Moody, meeting our new players and welcoming back our lettermen. They were all very impressive and ready to take on the strong schedule ahead. Saturday at 2 pm in Moody is a scrimmage against Arlington Baptist and the team is raring to get going. Met the Hulk and he is BIG. Glad to see Dibba, Manny, and Airion ready to go. We have a new point and the team was high on him and his shooting ability. It looks like the challenge is to get all the new players up to speed on a suffocating defense. We have plenty of fine athletes so Tanner can always put fresh players on the floor and stress being a defensive gem. The whole team is bigger than any we have had, up and down the lineups. They seemed to be eager to play Oklahoma State, N.C. State, Arkansas, and stouts like Western Kentucky. They really want to win the WAC.

So why did they schedule the scrimmage at the same time as the football game?

I don't know. Since it is a "do not count" game, I guess they needed a Saturday and a near-by opponent to avoid time away from school. But I really don't know.
