I'll bite. Where did you see something about next year from coach Tanner?

He briefly mentioned in an email about being excited to announce new additions to the team for next year.

I am so sorry. Apparently it was an email to boosters or lettermen or some group. It was about the upcoming Fund-raising for ACU. He talked about the NIL, and that we had now had 11 seasons in the NCAA and made a post season tournament in 5 of those. He was excited about the 7 game winning streak, beating GCU, and pointed out the loss to SFA made the NCAA play of the week over ten other possible ones. Remember the long shot that they made when we should have fouled? His goal coming up is to be in the top four in the WAC and he was building a team to do that. His outlook for the coming year seemed positive.
He mentioned the end of season honors our players earned. After leading our team in scoring, Ali Dibba earned second-team All-WAC honors. He said he was super proud of him and hope that was doing well. Hunter Jack Madden and Cameron Steele were named to the Academic All-District team. He thought both young men exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete. That is about all I remember other than a picture of the team surrounded by a lot of fans on the court after our last home game.
Again, apologies. It did not dawn on me that I was reading an email. I get so many emails that I read and then erase them unless they are very important -- so my folders don't overflow. And I clear my deleted files daily.

For those that didn't get the email (I guess I'm on the list because I gave money to basketball as part of my Day of Giving last year), here is what he says about the "State of the Program". I'll admit I don't always agree with every coaching decision Tanner makes but he sure does a lot better job of promoting and keeping people informed than football does! Or maybe if I gave money to football they might keep me in the loop better.
Your Wildcat basketball program – which just completed its 11th season at the NCAA Division I level – has now made a postseason tournament in five of its last seven seasons. We knew we had a tough challenge ahead of us when we made the move to the bigger and more athletic WAC three years ago. And I believe we have been taking the appropriate steps to become a championship-caliber program at this level over the past three years. This season was our highest regular-season finish in the WAC, and we were only one win away from putting ourselves in the top four. I believe with the players returning for next season, as well as who we will be adding to the current roster, we will be able to continue our climb and take that next step. That next step is a top-four team in the WAC, which will put us in the mix for that coveted regular-season championship.
There are some major changes that have been made to the college basketball landscape over the course of the last three years that nobody could have anticipated. The transfer portal as well as name, image, likeness (NIL) rules have made building and maintaining a roster way more difficult. I am proud to say we are navigating that new world with confidence and enthusiasm. We do have to understand that there will be the potential for more players to transfer – even players who love ACU and our basketball program. However, it opens new opportunities for recruiting as well. We must embrace this new way of doing things, and I am so thankful to all of you who have been helping us do that. I can’t wait to share with everyone our new additions to the roster as well as some new opportunities for all of our supporters to be involved in the process in the near future

Do we have an "official list" of who is coming back? As of right now … Hunter Jack Madden has another year. Brette told me he might return as a grad. Degruy and Bettiol will be juniors. Rivera and Hill will be sophomores. Williams and Dontrez will be freshmen. Until new players are signed this is it.
