I didn't stay up either. I looked up the stats this morning. Are we going to do anything different next year? Over-all, we ended the year just slightly better than last but not much.

Glad to move on to baseball and tennis. It is a despondent time to think we have two losing basketball teams with sub .500 records.

Would like to thank the guys who stayed and played for ACU. They committed to the program and brought cheers from all of us. Thank you to: Airion Simmons Hunter Jack Madden Cameron Steele and for coming here for a senior year: Aidan Igiehon One of my favorites was unfortunately denied his last year due to injury but I will remember him: Manny Allen. I am not sure if his eligibility is used up. Thanks you fellows.

It will certainly be odd not seeing Steele, Simmons and Allen in a Wildcat uniform next year. Seems they've been here forever. On the telecast ladt night the announcer said Madden was a 4th year junior, so he may be back. I thought Moeuneke had some good minutes at the 1st of the year. Wonder why he disappeared/ will he be back?

I expect that Madden and Steele will be given the opportunity by the coaching staff to use their Covid year if they want to.

I expect that Madden and Steele will be given the opportunity by the coaching staff to use their Covid year if they want to. I didn’t know that players got a COVID year from the ‘20-‘21 season. It could be helpful with the leadership if one or both of these guys played another year. I have been wondering if it is possible for Manny Allen to get a medical redshirt for one of the two seasons he was out with an injury.

Steele has been accepted into dental school. We don't need another year of Manny Allen. We need new recruiting blood.

A few quick points-
Every player in every sport has the option if they played in 2020 to receive an extra year due to Covid. The good news is, this is the last group of players that can get that extra year. That does not mean that extra year has to happen at the players current school, they can obviously transfer elsewhere.
Allen has played 6 years of college basketball. He redshirted his 1st year at ACU due to an injury and then had added his extra season this year. He should be done playing.

Really hate the bad luck that Manny Allen had with all of the injuries. Really like him as a player and a person. Could jump out of the gym. Will miss him.

Manny was very important to this past season and not having him cost us some games for sure. We need Hunter Jack another year since he is the best 3 pointer we have. I noticed UTA made NINETEEN 3 pointers last night. Our two point guards are a bit better than I first thought they would be but we need a power forward that can play well through those maddening period of poor scoring. I am not one who agrees that a hot momentum player needs to be rotated out and substituted for with someone who needs to warm up.

When a shooter gets hot he needs the ball, not the bench.

So how will a 15-17 WAC Cat team match against a 21-11 SLC Islanders team?

So how will a 15-17 WAC Cat team match against a 21-11 SLC Islanders team? When I saw they were going up against them I was like "we paid that much for a first round exit?"

The Islanders have a solid basketball team that should have been in the Southland Conference Finals. They have some really good shooters on that team.
