Sorry, guys that it has taken me so long to send out some updates.
As far as JUCO transfers, there are none currently coming in at this time. I know there was at least 1 transfer, not sure if JUCO or other, that the team was interested in, but that player went elsewhere.
Here are the players that we seem to have shown the most interest in, or have shown the most interest in us.
QB- Taylor Brown (St. Stephens) tweeted that he has been accepted to ACU
RB- LaMarquis Jefferson (Navasota)- has offer; also interested in Lamar and UTSA Le'Vonte Owens (Robinson)- offers from N. Mexico, Navy, BYU and Minnesota
WR- KJ Osborn (IMG Academy)- Bryant, Ind. St, Middle Tenn. St, Presbyterian, Char. Southern, Duquense David Racine (Austin Cedar Ridge)- has offer from N. Mexico Kalin Sadler (Lawton)- has offers from Illinois, La. Tech, Minnesota, N. Mexico, UNT, Texas St. and has a visit lined up with N. Iowa Jai Knight (Hahnville LA) has offers from Houston, NW Missouri St, Pennsylvania, S. Miss, Brown, Incarnate Word, SE Missouri St. (can also play CB)
OL- Dakota Laws (Denton Ryan)- has an offer; also offered by Grambling; has on his twitter, future Wildcate Kendall Jennings (Desoto)- put on his twitter page #LivePurple; on scout, it says he has an offer from Nevada and on 247sports, it says he is committed to Nevada
DE- Eli Howard (San Angelo Central)- holds offers from SFA, Sam Houston St, SMU and UNT
DT- Howard Houston (JUCO)- has offers from Ga. St, and S. Dakota. Penn State is starting to show interest
LB- David Chandler (Caddo Mills) no offers that I could find Johnny Crow (Azle) no offers that I could find Noah McMeans (La Vernia) no offers that I could find
S- Junior Henderson (Seven Lakes) has an offer; also has offers from SFA, Texas St and Utah Dale Williamson (Texas HS) has offers from S. Dakota and interest from UTSA Quincy Dunn (Lancaster) no offers that I could find

Thanks for the update Mavsman.
Looks like this class is going to be much smaller than last year? I don't know if this is based on scholarships available or some other reason.
RE: Dakota laws. He seems to be getting some attention from the new coaches at a couple of schools, including Colorado State. Hope I am wrong, but I get the impression we are his "safety" school; a fall back in case he does not get the FBS offer he hopes will come his way.
There are some gems in this group, just not the quantity we signed in 2014.

Mentioned this kid last night, looks like he is on his way to ACU. I liked his film...Tryce Prince from Ada, OK. twitter.com/FreshPrince__4Also found this, might have caused him to fly under the radar: Tryce Prince (6-0, 185, Sr.), who began the 2013 season as the starting quarterback before a broken collarbone injury, moves to wide receiver joining Montrel Black (5-9, 155, Sr.). Though we are recruiting him for defense, which is the part of his film that is more impressive IMO.

Just read the article on Facebook about this year's recruiting class from Coach Collums. Highlights are: Marcus Ellis is not coming back as well as Chuck Oputa. Ellis is the bigger loss I guess. 2 DL transfers will be on campus to start school Monday (no mention of Finley not coming back). The HS player mentioned on CatChat earlier this week from Ada, OK will enroll on Monday (a first for ACU football). We're going after outside LB'S and DB'S who can run and hit (obvious needs). The surprises to me were no mention of Finley leaving and the leaving of Ellis. What say ye about these announcements?

Funny that he quotes 3 OLB on the roster. I know Grady, Tarver, Gates, and Solsberry are currently outside backers.
Do we know the 3 safeties he mentions returning?

I hoped he would be given some sort of discipline and come around. Apparently not. Saddens me. Finley is a mystery to me. I don't know if there were disciplinary problems or if academics proved too much for him. Interesting that we have both a FBS and juco transfer tackles already on campus. Guess we will find out who come next month. Unless a Cat Chatter gets good "intel" before then. Another point Coach C made in the article was that we only expect to sign 15 this year, about half the size of last year's class.

" Collums said that the university is appealing for an extra year for starting left tackle Cody Kelley, who, as of now, will be a senior in 2015. Kelley lost a year because of NCAA transfer rules, but ACU is appealing to grant him an extra season in 2016."

Yeah the reference to Cody Kelley threw me too. So, will Finley be back or not. Funny Coach Collums didn't mention him as not returning. I also didn't understand the reference to announcing the 2 mid term transfers. Will one be announced and the other not or will both be announced on Feb. 4? I'm getting old and you really have to spell these things out to me. Reference to 3 returning OLB might mean that Grady is not coming back or maybe he's changing positions and is one of the returning safeties. Does anyone know how much weight Weathers has gained? No statements about the QB competition. Hmmm. Also the statement about "the outside linebacker will be announced" on Feb. 4 is confusing. The HS kid we signed is way to small to be a LB, right?

I didn't see the Prince kid as being an OLB either. I also hate how much they try and hide all this info. I'm sure there is a good reason for it but as a fan I don't get it. How do we have an FBS and JUCO transfer tackle and no one is close enough to the program to know about it or are they really just not telling anybody anything? If they really want their to be more interest and more fans involved then they need to promote more info and generate excitement. And how the heck do they have a players name wrong in the article??
Also hate to hear that about Ellis, seemed like he was really motivated and excited to be with the program.

The Prince kid is 5'10" maybe 185 lbs. Perhaps back when we were D2 that may have been acceptable size for OLB but not at FCS level. To me he is brought in to be a safety, but this is just my opinion.

His tweet does say OLB/nickel back

I wonder if Dulin is moving to a 4-2-5 from his traditional 4-3. Lots of defenses going to this type of nickel defense to contain he spread passing games.
