Seen Racine play multiple times. Probably one the best things is that the CR offense is a wide open spread offense and his coach Todd Ford was OC at SLC and then North Texas OC under Todd Dodge, so his route running is solid and he had the opportunity to get the ball as CR passed 30+ times per game. Got shut down in the game I watched by a fellow college bound CB when they had there #1 QB playing. When there QB got injured later in the season, they really struggled in there passing game so most of his stats are front loaded. He has plus size, and good speed (The Ian Peterson kid that ACU is recruiting is the fastest guy on there roster and one of the fastest in the state, but is a jr).
Overall a good pickup. Has a brother that plays at West Texas A&M I believe or use to anyways.

Looks like possibly Darreyl Patterson from Lawton won't be visiting after all? Or maybe we get a mid weed visit?
Bob Przybylo @bprzybylo · Jan 7 Visits for #OKPreps CB Darreyl Patterson (@onlyhuman143) - #Sooners (Jan. 16); KSU (Jan. 23); Wash State (Jan. 30)

The New Mexico 247 site lists Racine as a "Top priority target." Sometimes we pick up kids with FBS offers but they may be well down the list on their recruiting board. Not so in this case. I agree, he's a good pick up at a position where he has a chance to get some early playing time. It would be nice to add K.J. Osborne and Kalin Sadler to our WR commit list as well. FWIW, UNM has offered at least two other prospects with ACU offers-- Kalin Sadler and Le'Vonte Owens. Sadler is another of their "top priorities" while Owens is way down their list, possibly because they have a commit from a RB that is higher up on their recruiting board.

New offer out to WR/S Cristian Williams, one of our visitors last weekend and current SMU commit. He is following our coaches and a ton of ACU players and prospects. More information on the 2015 offers thread.

Thanks guys! Trust me, I am trying to find out info. I even tried to sneak into the dinner....no luck! I can tell you this, the coaching staff will NOT be announcing any commitments until signing day. Not sure why. I try to follow through twitter, but sometimes I am late getting the info.
Here is who I know was here-
David Racine- WR (committed) Dakota Laws- OG- offered and apparently committed DJ Osborn- WR- I belive we have offered Tyler Mabry- TE- offered; Darrance James- CB- offered Cristian Williams- S- offered; think he may be leaning our way now as he is following the coaches and several of the players he visited with this weekend
Add to that-
DT- Edmonson Jr UTEP (transfer) DT- Olie TJC (transfer) S/LB Prince (early enrollee)
Names to watch in the coming weeks- FB/LB- Tracy James- has an offer OT/OG- Kendall Jennings DE- Eli Howard- has an offer LB- Quincy Dunn- has been on campus for a visit S- Junior Henderson- has an offer S- Jai Knight- seems to be really interested in the team

Couple of questions. Do you know anything about Markeis Williams? www.hudl.com/athlete/201350 or Johnathan Sam www.hudl.com/athlete/1331227/jonathan-sam ? They might have been visitors based on some Twitter info. Also, any word about the guys from Oklahoma Boomer has been posting about? He has mentioned three that were supposed to visit next weekend.

Kalin Sadler went up to UNI this past weekend. UNI recruited Dallas, but they were having a blizzard while he was there and ultimately decided to go to ACU. I'll let you know what I hear from Dallas about some of these guys, but it will most likely be PM's if it's semi-confidential like the Ellis deal.

Coach Dulin is in Memphis tonight. Any recruits in that area that might be showing interest?

I can tell you this, the coaching staff will NOT be announcing any commitments until signing day. Not sure why. I try to follow through twitter, but sometimes I am late getting the info Appreciate your sleuthing. I don't expect coaches to make announcements about prospects we are recruiting. NCAA rules re: commenting on unsigned prospects are very strict. Coaches are probably just trying to err on the side of caution to avoid any potential problems. After all, we have experience with just how arbitrary and picky the NCAA can be to programs not named Texas or Southern Cal or Alabama. What I don't understand is why there are no comments about athletes who have signed LOI's. There are no rules banning comment on signed players. Programs whose commits are posted on web sites such as Rivals or 247 get information directly from the athlete, off Twitter, or via a source within the athletic department speaking "off the record" to a confidante such as Mavsman. Fan Forums such as this that are not affiliated with one of the national recruiting sites have to rely on Twitter and off the record comments. Here again, I think our coaches seem more tight lipped than most probably for the same reasons--not wanting to run afoul of the NCAA. There may be other reasons. It would be interesting to hear Coach C's response to a question about why we are more tight lipped than many of our peers? He could probably explain it better than our conjecture. Meanwhile, keep "mining" for info, Mavsman and others. We appreciate your efforts.

Coach Dulin is in Memphis tonight. Any recruits in that area that might be showing interest? I am of the belief there are enough players ACU can get within a certain radius that extends into OK and TX. Not sure what our recruiting budget is but IMO unless a kid comes to you because they want you, perhaps because they are Church of Christi perhaps, then focus on those that are close to home. While not a hard and fast rule, I think kids typically want to go to a school close to home or in a state they want to work post graduation.

I am glad you included Oklahoma. That state has some talent that goes under the radar. Texas is very heavily recruited by a lot of D1 schools from around the country, particularly the big schools in urban areas. In Oklahoma there are more "under the radar" prospects.

The AFCA national conference was in Louisville the past few days. Coach Moore tweeted out that he was there. Could have been a stop on a road trip.
