From various sources, he is either 6'3" or 6'4", played his freshman year at Navarro at 310 but dropped to 280 for his soph. year. Worked out and wanted to be more athletic (faster) on run blocking. Signed with Troy, so don't know what the story is. He certainly could be our answer at center. Twitter account says he was a JC All-American at center at Navarro last year. With the addition of Thomas, our OL/DL is starting to take shape again.

Does he challenge Hisler at Center or Melde at Guard? Is he good enough to beat out either of them, or does he wind up as a back up to provide much needed depth. Either way, it is nice to add a lineman after unexpected attrition with the loss of Kees.

Niccum was an Hon Men AA at Navarro. I think he will help a lot. As we have seen multiple times here, it's not unusual for transfers to change their minds in the spring. There is no binding LOI so as long as they don't play in the fall, they are free to transfer again. He will have 3 years to play 2. Props to him for completing his AA a semester early.
Seems he is engaged. Maybe this move was to be closer to home. (Justin)

i remember looking at Ivan Thomas when he was in high school with Dallas. Dallas' bro can correct my if my details are off, but he identifies as Native American (I think he is multiracial?) , at one point had a career goal of going on the pro rodeo circuit and seems to like country music. Sounds like a pretty interesting guy to me. Oh, and his hudl tape suggests he can also ball! Looking forward to seeing him in action.

Devron Davis, CB from Merced CC just offered. Looks like he had 25 plus offers from P5 schools coming out of HS. Signed with Colorado State earlier this year. He announced he had been granted a release two hours ago and already has 3 offers--Ark State, LA Tech and ACU. 247sports.com/player/devron-davis-82195

So, looks like we have added at least 3 jucos over the summer, probably more....
DL. Thomas- OL. Niccum DB. Moore
Probably WR Haynes
Maybe another couple of guys, including another WR out of Florida
And we have lost a couple of linemen on both sides of the ball.
Fall camp should be interesting

WR Vasquez Haynes committed to us today. Should have 1 year to play. Coach Thrash also tweeted about a new WR from Houston. Trying to find out his name

Good catch guys. I wouldn't have associated Haynes with Houston. I was thinking more about his school locations than his home.
I wonder if that's the issue with our mystery guy from florida. We have been thinking U of Florida because the area code is the Gainesville area. Maybe that's his home but he has been going tot school elsewhere so we have been looking in the wrong place. Odd though that there is no hint on Twitter by looking at who our coaches or other known transfers started to follow. It's like he's a ghost, whoever he is....

I keep hoping to see us add at least 1 (2 or 3 would be nice) OL transfers, specifically someone that can play Tackle. As it stands now, we are in a world of hurt if one of our Tackles were to get hurt.
