Maybe we'll know in a couple of weeks who the CB is. August and fall camp can't get here quick enough. I hope the weather cools a little in Abilene. It is brutal in Myrtle Beach. Heat index approaching 110 each day and 0 wind. I moved to the beach to get out of the horrible Wichita, KS wind but 0 among the pine trees is just brutal and I'm not carrying all those pads in 2 a days.

If LaRue is the guy, he should have 2 years of eligibility left. (RS 2013, Sat out transfer 2014, did not play in 2015.) But....he hasn't been on the field for 3 years. Reading between the lines, I'm thinking he's been a bit immature. Perhaps he's grown up now. Since there is no record of any violence, etc., I'm guessing either failed drug test(s) or academic problems. The latter would explain why he didn't play last season.
No doubt about his talent...another Collums reclamation project?

Maybe he will be the answer at punt returner too. Exciting player. Hope he has matured and will be an asset.

I'm pretty sure he played JUCO in California last year, where he is from.

What do you think about the other pick up, Reynel Prevalon? Uses his hands well to fight off blockers, strong hands in that he latches on and brings folks down, gets hands up and knocks down passes. Long and lanky but seems to have pretty good speed and instincts. Redshirt year to gain weight and strength and we may have something.

Prevalon does look too good to have been overlooked. Late qualifier, maybe? Looks like an instinctive pass rusher. Haven't had one of those since Nick Richardson.

I like the looks of the Previlon kid. Good speed and seems to shed blockers well. I love getting another freshman DE! We may see a lot of freshman get playing time at DE.

There was some speculation in earlier threads about whether or not WR transfer from Hawaii via Blinn, Vasquez Haynes, would be at ACU because he was not yet enrolled. Based on his recent Twitter activity, he looks set to be a Wildcat!

The more I see of Reynel Previlon, the more excited I am about him. He was apparently offered by a lot of FBS schools, but was a late qualifier and the other schools had filled up. I am thinking he will get a lot of playing time starting just 5 days from now.
I still have a feeling that there are still a few surprises about to be sprung on us - it appears that the ACU coaches are still out there trying to fill holes on the roster right up to reporting day.
