I keep hoping to see us add at least 1 (2 or 3 would be nice) OL transfers, specifically someone that can play Tackle. As it stands now, we are in a world of hurt if one of our Tackles were to get hurt. Yup. Tude mentioned Thigpen, but he is more a guard than a tackle. At 6'2 285 he is both short and light for a tackle.

Baylor just tossed two juco January transfers for "unspecified rules violations" Part of changing the culture at Baylor. Not sure we'd want to touch a Baylor transfer, but one of the two was competing for a starting job after spring. Guess that would depend on the specific rules that were broken. 247sports.com/Player/BJ-Autry-79693?Institution=23605

To be honest, I don't like his film at all... If you watch he was almost always the last person out of his stance. Unless they had him playing some kind of read technique, I don't get the sluggishness. Several of the highlights had him making a tackle 5 years down field because he was pushed back there. I also think he plays with terrible pad height. I would have wanted to see much lower pad level and more leg drive, there was way to much standing up and catching. He could eventually get off the block as he was bigger than the o lineman, but that will not be the case at our level. I do like his motor, he was able to run down several plays and did not seem to quit on plays, which you often see with big lineman. As he ran some guys down and even played some fullback on goal line, I would assume that his 40 time is pretty good but I did not like his technique and he really seemed to lack the explosiveness that I want from my football players. Just my two cents.

Big body. That's what I saw. If I read correctly recruiting services had him as a -0- star. Not sure what will happen with him but don't see a world beater----yet.

Borque will drive you into the ground and at the same time make you like it and want more (buy into it). Moore will tell you to your face he's not there to feed you a bs sandwich or win a popularity contest, he's there to make you the best you can be and win football games. Together, both will definitely weed out the hackers from the slackers.

He ran down several plays and if he really is 325 that is no small feat. You give me a big man with a motor, a positive attitude and some good coaching and he might turn into a player, there is a reason I only comment and don't actually coach anymore. I am sure the coaches saw something they liked, I was just not impressed by the few minute highlight video.

Coaches have seen a player they can work with.

update: Since Coach Thrash tweeted that we had signed/gotten a commitment from a wr prospect from the Gainesville FL area code, two Gators have announced they are transferring. One signed with Southern Ill and more recently a second is rumored to be on his way to Youngstown State.
Still scratching my head trying to figure that one out.

Ahh! Our Florida receiver finally identified. Troy is from Brookville, Fl. Good sleuthin CM and Bogey! I will sleep better at night now that the mystery recruit from FL has been ID'd 3 star prospect with a couple of FBS offers. And the son of a former NFL player, Tony Hambrick(Cowboys, Seahawks) 247sports.com/player/troy-grant-80632
